Beanstack 📚 Beanstack 📚

Our school has paid for a subscription to BeanStack this year. BeanStack is a web and mobile app platform that schools use to track reading and run interactive reading challenges. Your child will primarily use it as an online reading tracker and timer, if your family chooses to use it from home. It is optional to add the Free mobile app to a personal device. Click HERE to view an informational flyer about BeanStack or HERE for instructions on how to log in from home.

Chapters 9-12

I hope your child is enjoying reading or listening to The Wild Robot as much as I am! This week we are reading Chapters 9-12. Roz is going to meet some animals this week and their reaction is interesting! Roz is experiencing lots of new things, just like many of our students at BES that are new. Hopefully they can relate to Roz and see how she adapts and changes!

Tour des Trees Tour des Trees

An exciting event is coming to Bethel on September 16th!

We will be hosting visitors from the Tree Research and Education Endowment Fund (TREE Fund) and their annual bike ride, the Tour des Trees, will be passing through Bethel on September 16th. During the Tour, they put together several outreach events where they talk to people about trees and tree care and one of their most popular presentations is done by one of their riders who travels all over the world to talk to kids about trees and goes by Professor Pricklethorn. (www.pricklethorn.com). It will be a neat event as our students learn about trees!

Blue Paw Begins September 8 Blue Paw Begins September 8

We are excited to begin Blue Paw after Labor Day on September 8th. Blue Paw is an incentive program to encourage our students to have good attendance and behavior. More information will be coming in next weeks' newsletter. Just a reminder that attendance part for Blue Paw will start from the attendance from the first day of school. We've had a lot of sickness already at the beginning of school and that can't be helped. Thanks for always making sure your child is at school and on time whenever they aren't sick. Thanks!
