This week, our students are settling back into their routines, and learning has been filled with fun and excitement! We were so happy to welcome our PreK students on Tuesday, and we also successfully completed our first fire drill of the school year.

Today, we took time to honor September 11th and recognize the many heroes who showed courage, bravery, and kindness by wearing red, white, and blue. ❤️🤍💙

As we continue into the school year, be sure to keep track of our upcoming important dates and events. We are excited to celebrate International Dot Day on September 15 and Green and Gold Day next Friday! 💚💛

My name is Mr. Hanifin, and I am a student teacher from UMass Amherst working with Dr. Michaud for the beginning of the school year. I’ve been looking forward to starting my time at DES and I’m very excited to get to know and work with your students! I’m sure we’re going to have a great time together.
