We are looking forward to connecting with Rilke families during our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences on Wednesday, October 28 and Thursday, October 29.
There will be no school for students on:

Thursday, October 29
- Friday, October 30 (there will be no parent-teacher conferences on this day)
Rilke teachers will be available for conferences from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on October 28 and 29.
The Rilke APC has adopted full-day conferences to help ensure that each conference provides meaningful time for teachers and families to connect, discuss student progress and success, and allow plenty of time for parent questions and conversation.

Get ready for some Halloween fun at Rilke Schule! Friday, October 23rd will be our Halloween Costume Dress-Up Day. Students are welcome to show their creativity and school spirit by coming to school in a fun, school-appropriate costume!
To help keep our school day safe, comfortable, and focused on learning, please remember the following:
- 🚫 No face paint or full-face makeup
- 🚫 No masks
- 🚫 No toy weapons or weapon-like accessories
- 🚫 No toys or distracting props
- 🚫 No inflatable costumes
- 🚫 No costumes or accessories that disrupt the learning environment
Please make sure students can independently get in and out of their costume. Costumes should allow students to use the restroom, move around, and participate in classroom activities without assistance and continue to learn without disruption to the learning environment.
We look forward to seeing our Rilke students get creative and celebrate Halloween together! Have fun, be safe, and show your Rilke spirit!
Rilke’s Student Council is excited to host a Middle School Halloween Dance for students in 6th–8th grades!

Students are invited to come dressed in school-appropriate Halloween costumes and enjoy an evening of music, food, games, and fun with their friends!
*This event is for Rilke Schule Middle School students only.
Entry Fee: $5.00
The $5 entry fee will help cover food and festivities for the evening.
Volunteers Needed!
Parents are welcome and encouraged to help make this a fun and successful event! If you are interested in chaperoning the dance, please contact Frau Squier at squier_elaine@asdk12.org. Chaperoning this event qualifies as a double volunteer-hour opportunity.

Clear out you closets, Folks! Rilke Schule PTO will host a Kindermode Clothing Drive during the upcoming Parent Teacher Conferences Oct 28th & 29th. Clothing must be sorted by SIZE. Please no shoes, tights, socks, or non dress code approved clothing.
Fasching Auction & Gala Fundraiser on FEB 6th, 2027:
Planning has already started and we are collecting auction items. Please email auction@rilkesculevereing.org to donate. More details to come.
RSI has developed a partnership with Fashion Pact, a local thrift store that gives back to the community. When customers donate or shop at Fashion Pact, you can choose to support RSI and 30% of a purchase goes directly to RSI. It’s an easy and meaningful way to give back while recycling gently used items or finding great treasures.
AK Christkindlmarkt: December 5th-6th, 2026 10am - 4pm Each Day.
Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the market. This event is advertised to the public to attend, various levels of volunteering are needed to pull of an event that brings thousands of people to our school in one weekend.
Rilke Schule PTO hosts many vendors at our market, but we have a booth as well! We import handmade items from Germany-Nutcrackers, Arches, Ornaments, and more. We want to revamp our booth this year. With new shelving generously donated by the Griffo Family last year, we have a good foundation to make our booth even better! Are you a skilled merchandizer, do you enjoy handcrafting? This is your time to shine and volunteer to help construct our new booth design.
We also need inventory specialist to price out our imported items. All can be done at the school!

Rilke Schule is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic paraprofessional to join our team. This position offers a wonderful opportunity to support student learning, collaborate with educators, and contribute to a positive and engaging school environment.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about working with students and committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive classroom experience. Responsibilities may include assisting teachers with instructional activities, supporting students’ academic and social development, and helping maintain a productive learning environment.
