Dear Audubon Families,

Our students have been showing so much grit this week! They have worked hard to finish their Reading and Math MAP assessments, and we are incredibly proud of the effort and perseverance we’ve seen across the building. Please take a moment to look at the graphic in this memo that shares simple ways you can help teach and encourage grit at home.

We are also excited for a fun family event coming soon! Our Snow & Glow Dance will be held on Friday, February 27th from 6:00–7:30 PM. Tickets are $10 per family AND WILL BE SOLD AT THE DOOR. The night will include a dessert bar, crafts for the kids, a selfie booth, a DJ dance party, and a raffle for baskets. Please be sure to BRING CASH for the raffle and dance ticket. Also, make sure you RSVP at the link below if you plan to attend so we can have enough supplies ready for everyone.

As we wrap up Kindness Month, we will be recognizing our Eagles who stand out as great problem solvers and positive role models for others. We love celebrating students who choose kindness and help make our school a great place to be each day.

Thank you for your continued support. We appreciate our families and all you do to partner with us!

Mrs. Phillips & Mrs. Velotta

Social Emotional Learning Social Emotional Learning

This week our students showed incredible grit as they worked through their MAP assessments. They stayed focused, tried their best on challenging questions, and kept going even when the work felt hard. We reminded them that the test is not about being perfect — it is about effort, perseverance, and showing what they have learned so far this year. These moments connect directly to our Portrait of a Learner, where we want every student to grow as a problem solver, a persistent learner, and someone who takes ownership of their learning. We are very proud of how seriously our Eagles took this responsibility and how they encouraged one another along the way. Thank you for supporting them at home with rest, encouragement, and positive words — it truly makes a difference!
