Since 2020, Farnham Street has been posted "NO PARKING" on either side of the street during school hours. As a school, we offer the Loop for student drop off/pick up and a parking lot for familllies INSIDE the Loop to park and walk to the front door with your student.
In recent years, more and more families have started to park along both sides of Farnham Street. This has begun to pose a safety risk as students are not crossing the street with the crossing guard, vehicles stopping in the middle of Farnham Street to allow students to exit/enter, and making entry and exit of the parking lot for the school buses difficult.
Beginning on Thursday October 10, 2024, the Galesburg Police Department will be working to assist with the safety of arrival and dismissal at King School. Parking along either side of Farnham Street MAY result in a citation being issued. Please utilize the Loop and SOUTH parking lot for arrival and dismissal. We appreciate you being a part of the safety of the students and staff at King School.
