St Elizabeth's News
NEWSLETTER | TERM 3 | WEEK 10 | 23 SEPT 2026
Good afternoon parents and caregivers,
What a term it has been. No one could say that Term Three has been a quiet one! It has been filled with exciting learning opportunities, memorable experiences, and many wonderful occasions for us to come together as a school community. A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated staff, fabulous students, and supportive parents for the part you have played in making this term such a success.
Over the past two weeks, under the guidance of Ms Dixon, our students have been recognising Deaf Awareness Week and the International Week of Sign Language. From engaging in Auslan learning activities to collaborating with the TSH team, particularly Mr Tomlinson and Mrs Lennox, to celebrate Loud Shirt Day, students have embraced many opportunities to learn and raise awareness. This week is always an inspiring one, helping our students develop a deeper understanding of hearing loss and the challenges that some people face each day. We look forward to announcing the classroom winners of our Loud Shirt Day Competition at the beginning of next term.
Tomorrow, our Year One to Year Six students will head to Mater Dei College for the Athletics Carnival. We wish all competitors the very best as they participate in a range of track and field events throughout the day. A special thank you to Miss Newton for the many hours of planning and preparation that have gone into organising this event. I encourage everyone to support our P&F, who have organised a fantastic cake stall and sausage sizzle for spectators to enjoy throughout the day.
You will also find the 2027 school term dates included below. Additional pupil-free days, staff professional development days, and Catholic Day arrangements will be finalised and communicated in the first newsletter of Term Four. Please note that all CEWA schools will move to a three-week holiday break at the end of Term Two in 2027. OSH Club has been notified of this change and will continue to provide Vacation Care during the extended break to support our families.
As we approach the holidays, I wish all families a safe, restful, and enjoyable break. Thank you once again for your ongoing support throughout Term Three, and I look forward to all that Term Four will bring.
Go the Dockers! ๐โ๏ธ
God bless

Week 10
Dear Families and Caregivers,
We cannot believe how quickly this term has gone! Looking back, there have been so many achievements, special moments and celebrations across our school. It has been lovely to see our students embracing new experiences, building friendships and continuing to learn and grow together.
To top off the celebrations, our staff and students have officially moved into our new classrooms! This marks another exciting milestone in St Elizabethโs journey as our school continues to grow. We would like to thank our dedicated staff for their flexibility, organisation and teamwork throughout the move. We know how much care and pride they take in creating warm and inviting learning environments for our students.
A big thank you also to all of our families who joined us for our Walking Bus this morning. Together with Loud Shirt Day, it was a fantastic way to finish the term! It was so special to see a sea of colour entering through the gates, with our community chatting, laughing and building connections along the way.
As the term comes to a close, we would like to thank all of our families for your continued support and partnership. Thank you for working alongside us, celebrating our students and contributing to the wonderful sense of community we have at St Elizabethโs.
We wish all of our students, families and staff a safe and relaxing break and look forward to seeing everyone next term.
God Bless
Kadir Mastan and Brooke Davison
Walking Bus for Wellness Wednesday 23rd Septmeber
It was wonderful to see so many students using active transport to get to school. Thank you to the families who supported the initiative.
80 students across the school used active transport with Year 4 leading the way! A huge thank you to Kim and Lynda for helping with the surveys.
The walk coincided with Loud Shirt Day, which raised awareness for Telethon. It was a wonderful way to bring our school community together at the end of term.
A big thank you!
It was so lovely to see so many families visit the book fair last week! We certainly enjoyed seeing so much interest in the most important thing....the BOOKS! ๐๐๐
We sold a fantastic $4000 in books, this gives us a credit of $1305 to spend on new books for our school Library, so expect to see some new books soon.
