Holy Rosary
NEWSLETTER | TERM 4| WEEK 5| 14TH NOV 2025
Loving God,
We gather today with thankful hearts for the many gifts within our Holy Rosary community.
Thank you for our students, who fill our days with life and enthusiasm. Help them to keep growing in kindness, courage and a genuine love for learning.
We are grateful for our parents and caregivers, who support our school in so many practical and thoughtful ways. Bless them for the care they give their children and for the trust they place in us.
Thank you for our teachers and staff, who show patience, compassion and commitment in all they do. Give them strength, clarity and a sense of peace in the busy weeks ahead.
We also hold in prayer anyone in our community who may be struggling at this time. May they feel Your comfort and know they are not alone.
As we move towards the end of the year, help us to pause, notice the good around us and stay grounded in gratitude.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
Dear Holy Rosary,
This week, I want to begin by recognising our staff, who continue to go above and beyond for our students and school community. We are very fortunate to have such dedicated people here at Holy Rosary. Iโd also like to thank our parents for the strong support you show our staff. It means a great deal.
Last week saw our Year 5 students take part in their Leadership Day, which was a fantastic experience for all. A huge thank you to Miss Kate OโNeill and Miss Isla Cornwall for organising such an engaging day. We also extend our thanks to the Fremantle Dockers AFLW Team for visiting and speaking with our students about leadership, teamwork and resilience. Their presence brought great energy and inspiration to the day.
Our parent induction sessions for in-class parent help continued this week, and once again we were delighted with the strong turnout. Thank you to everyone who attended and took the time to understand the processes that keep our classrooms running smoothly.
On Monday 17 November, our Kindy students joining us in 2025 will take part in their Get to Know You Day. We look forward to welcoming our newest families and helping our future Kindy children settle in and feel comfortable as they begin their Holy Rosary journey.
As we move closer to the End of Year Concert, families can find information about costumes for our Make a Move dances in the attached document within this newsletter. Thank you for your support as students prepare for this exciting event.
Next Friday, our whole school will come together to farewell Father Peter. We would love to have as many families as possible join us as we acknowledge and celebrate his many years of service to our parish and community.
Finally from me, we are pleased to share that applications are now open to join our School Advisory Council for 2026, with positions available for Treasurer and General Member. If you are interested in contributing to the stewardship and ongoing development of our school, please email your expression of interest, along with any relevant experience or information youโd like to share, to michael.odwyer@cewa.edu.au. Voting for these positions will take place at the Annual Community Meeting on Tuesday 2 December at 5.00pm
Whatever your plans, I hope you have a lovely weekend.
God bless.

Remembrance Day ๐๏ธ
On Tuesday, our students took time to reflect, pray, and give thanks for the brave men and women who have served our country. Lest we forget.
Our Pre Kindy friends spent time this week painting poppies to show gratitude to the brave soldiers who cared for our country.
๐๐ด๐ School Sport WA Primary Triathlon Championships
What a month it has been โ athletics and triathlons galore! ๐
Our students have worked incredibly hard and represented Holy Rosary with enthusiasm, courage, and team spirit.
Last week, we competed in the Hale Connect Triathlon, where our students went head-to-head in an individual race against Hale School and Woodlands Primary.
A huge congratulations to Hugo W, who took out the Year 4 champion title, and to every student who gave 100% effort throughout the five training sessions and the big event day.
Our 2025 sporting program wrapped up with the School Sport WA Primary Triathlon Championships. Congratulations to St Markโs College, who were consistently strong across the day. Every Holy Rosary team showed fantastic determination, teamwork, and friendship โ weโre so proud of how our students supported each other and pushed for personal bests! ๐ช
Thank you to all students, staff, and parents who contributed to another amazing year of sport at Holy Rosary. Your energy and support make our program something truly special. Weโre already looking forward to an action-packed 2026!

Celebrating Millieโs Ballet Achievement
Millie, who is part of the professional ballet training program at The Perth School of Ballet, took to the stage in their end-of-year production of The Wizard of Oz on Friday and Saturday. It was a wonderful performance and a brilliant way to close out her year of hard work and training.
Weโre delighted to share that Millie was honoured with the schoolโs highest junior accolade, The Natasha Haederle Junior Memorial Award. This award is presented annually to a student who exemplifies exceptional commitment, passion, and technical excellence in ballet, and we are so proud that Millieโs dedication has been recognised in this way.
Training over 12 hours each weekโon top of her regular school studiesโrequires remarkable discipline, resilience, and love for her craft. Millie manages it all with grace, determination, and a genuine joy for dance. We couldnโt be prouder of everything she has achieved this year and canโt wait to see where her ballet journey takes her next.
2026 Pre-Primary and Year 1 parents:

This earlier session will allow families to ask questions, visit the new learning areas, and learn about key information for the transitions - including changes to classrooms, uniforms, and routines.
All information shared during these sessions will also be made available digitally afterwards for families who are unable to attend.

Christmas has come to the library!! Students are enjoying the festive books and cooling down in the library during lunchtimes.
Next week will be last library sessions and borrowing, with all books to be returned or replaced in Week 7. This gives Ms Capolingua and I the chance to follow up all overdue books in Week 8, as well as repair/replace books and get the library ready for 2026! Road Closure and Traffic Delays
Permanent closure of the temporary Cedric Street southbound off-ramp โ from 9pm, 14 November 2025.
We are progressing key construction works to complete the future Stephenson Avenue southbound off-ramp. To enable the safe construction of the tie-in with Mitchell Freeway, we are required to close the Cedric Street southbound off-ramp ahead of the new off-ramp opening.
Once the Cedric Street southbound off-ramp is closed, we will be working 24/7 to minimise the timeframe the ramp is closed and therefore disruption to traffic.
Based on current schedules the new southbound off-ramp at Stephenson Avenue will open in early December.
Access to Innaloo, Stirling and surrounding areas will temporarily be via the following alternative routes until the new Stephenson Avenue southbound off-ramp is operational:
- To access Innaloo and northern Stirling - exit earlier at the Karrinyup Road southbound off-ramp.
- To access Osborne Park and southern Stirling โ exit later at the Hutton Street southbound off-ramp.
If you also regularly use the Stirling Station northern car park, access into the car park will be maintained via Cedric Street only, with no changes to how you exit the car park. View the access map here.
We understand that these disruptions may cause inconvenience to your journey and thank you for your patience while we undertake these important upgrades.
Signage will be in place to support these changes, and we encourage you to allow additional time to your travel journey, especially during peak periods.
