A Note from Mrs. Pitts
Dear RES Family,
We are so proud of our recent feature on NH Chronicle. As I shared with Sean McDonald, I am thankful they took the time to film a positive story about education, with children smiling, dancing and coming together as a community. We know we are so fortunate to work in Rye and be with these children each and every day. This story was just another example of why we love what we do!

Thank you for your support, as always!

Kindergarten and Grade 4: 2025-2026 School Year
Dear Incoming K Family,
We are looking forward to meeting our new Kindergarten students during screening in June. If you have not already signed up for a screening time or completed the questionnaire, the links are below.
This information is CRITICAL for our staff:)
Kindergarten Family Questionnaire
We want to inform you that we currently have 40 students registered. For the 2025-2026 school year, we will have three classroom teachers to support lower class sizes for our young learners. Our current second grade teacher, Michelle Gwinn, will enthusiastically join the Kindergarten team!
Dear Incoming Fourth Grade Family,
Pending School Board approval, we have offered the fourth grade position to Justin Svirsky. He went through a rigorous interviewing process, which included a committee interview, as well as a lesson observation with our current fourth graders. He will be sending a long a photo and bio shortly but we wanted to get this information out to you as soon as possible.
Justin worked at RES as a building-based substitute my first year at RES and is currently a STEAM teacher in Epping, NH. The children do know him (if they were here)!
More info to come:)
THANK YOU!!!!!
We want to express our THANKS to the PTA and the two Teacher Appreciation gurus, Alli Salzer and Lindsay Beynon, as well as those who helped set up all the fun! The treats and recognition we have all received every day has been beyond our expectations. We also want to thank the Kreyciks for donating lunch and all those who have sent a quick email, note or token of their appreciation. We feel very loved this week, and always!

Lunch in Our Caf
We invite one family member at a time to have lunch with their child(ren) but this is very optional and we don't want families to feel pressured to attend. This is an occasional event as we do want children to build independence and social skills in the cafeteria, a perfect time for this!
- Email resoffice@sau50.org if you would like to attend with the date/time. It is important to anticipate who will be in the building. We love these opportunities for students and their family members but we will always put safety first.
- Adults must bring their own lunch and can bring lunch for their own child.
- We do have a focus during this time...eating for energy and brain power!
- Family members must meet the child in the cafeteria and leave from the cafeteria.
- Days for family visits are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. We do not have lunch visitors on Fridays.
- Lunch times are:
Kindergarten-11:45-12:10
First Grade-12:10-12:35
Second Grade-12:10-12:35
Third Grade- 11:15-11:40
Fourth Grade-11:15-11:40
