This November, we’re celebrating Gratitude Month at Redwood Middle School with the theme:
“Gratitude Starts with Us.” As a school we are creating a gratitude tree. Each week will have a new prompt for students to complete a gratitude leaf. At the end of each week there will be a drawing of the week's leaves. I entry per person/week. Selected leaves will a prize!
Week 1: Gratitude for People November 4–8
- Prompt: Think of someone at Redwood who makes your day better : a teacher, friend, or staff member.
- " I appreciate _________________ because they _________________________."
Week 2: Gratitude for Learning November 11–15
- Prompt: What’s something new you’ve learned this year that you’re grateful for : a lesson, skill, or even a mistake that taught you something?
- "I'm grateful ____________________________."
Week 3: Gratitude for Our School Community November 18–22
- Prompt: What’s one thing about Redwood that makes you proud to be a Viking?
- "I'm proud to be a Viking because ______________________."
Week 4: Gratitude in Action November 25–29
- Prompt: What’s one act of kindness you can do this week to show gratitude : for a friend, teacher, or family member?
- "Something kind I can do this week is _____________________________."
Gratitude is a simple but powerful way to strengthen our Viking community. Thank you for being such an important part of what makes Redwood special.
Monday, November 3rd is a staff development day in CVUSD. No school for students, enjoy your 3 day weekend!
Manna Food Drive November 4th – November 18th
- Join us in supporting our community by donating non-perishable food items to the Manna Food Drive! Every contribution helps local families in need.
- Bring your donations to your PERIOD 1 CLASS between November 4th and November 18th.
- Sixth grade students with last names that start with letters A-K will be attending camp January 27th -30th, 2026.
- Sixth grade students with last names starting with letters L-Z will be attending camp February 3rd-6th 2026.
- STUDENTS WHO DO NOT ATTEND OUTDOOR SCHOOL WILL REPORT TO SCHOOL AS NORMAL THAT WEEK.

The window to purchase CVUSD chromebook protection will close after November. After next month no student or family will be able to purchase device protection for the remainder of the school year. This means that every student who has a CVUSD device checked out is responsible for any cost to repair or replace the device.
- Students who need to repair the device without district insurance will need to go to a private repair shop.
- Note- Redwood will not issue temporary loaner devices to student during the time f repair, unless written documentation is provided by the repair shop that the device is currently being serviced.
