Town of Sunnyvale Weekly Update
Citizens Police Academy Graduation
Congratulations to all the graduates of Sunnyvale Citizens Police Academy class #3! We appreciate you and the interest you take in learning about the Sunnyvale Police Department.
The Sunnyvale Police Department's Citizens Police Academy (CPA) is an educational program designed to provide the public with a working knowledge of Sunnyvale Police Department's personnel and policies. The CPA was developed with the belief that education is the key to understanding, and with understanding comes a more open line of communication.
Thank you to Chief Vegas and the police staff who put on this year's Academy!
Anyone interested in attending Citizens Policy Academy in the future should visit www.townofsunnyvale.org/529/Citizens-Police-Academy for more details.

Adoptable Pets!
Here are some featured pets in need of a home this week:
- Hunter is an approximately 4-year-old grey and white male Husky. He has a heart as big as a mountain, full of sweetness and love. He is the friendliest guy around, always ready to share a kind word or a gentle nudge. His nature is mellow, as he enjoys the simple things in life: a soft bed, a tasty treat, and a leisurely walk.
- Vada is a 19-week-old female Husky puppy. She is just a puppy but has a heart full of love and a head full of smarts. She is known around here for her goofy antics and sweet disposition. Vada loves making new friends, both humans and dogs alike. She’s got energy to spare and is always ready for a game of fetch or a good romp around the yard.
- Kodak is a 2-year-old male German Shepherd. He is young, full of life, and tail or no tail, is always wagging with joy. Kodak is brave and curious, always ready for a new adventure. He is especially playful, too! He loves a good game of fetch, or anything that involves running and jumping.
We currently have many adoptable animals in our shelter looking for a new place to call home. Learn more by visiting our Petfinder page or calling (214) 862-4525.
