NEW NEWS NEW NEWS

🎉The Direct Donation Drive Kicks Off Tuesday, March 3! 🎉

Our annual Direct Donation Drive is just five days away! Get ready to make a meaningful impact through Ridgeline’s largest fundraiser of the year—no selling, just giving.

The Bottom Line

Starting Tuesday, March 3, watch for the first of three special electronic appeals via Smore. We have 10 days (March 3–March 13) to reach our first milestone: $10,000 in direct gifts.

When we hit that goal, generous donors will unlock an additional $6,000 match—turning $10,000 into $16,000 for our students.

These funds directly support the following:

  • Art and PE specialists

  • Montessori materials and programs

  • Facility safety and maintenance

  • Student wellness and enrichment

This year, our direct donation drive theme is: “The Art of Stewardship.”

As a public charter school, Ridgeline receives approximately 20% less state and local funding than other Eugene public schools—resulting in a $555,900 funding gap this year. That’s why this drive matters so much.

Every dollar donated goes directly to Ridgeline, helping bridge that gap and sustain the programs that make our school exceptional.

💥 $6K Match Challenge – Let’s Amplify Our Impact!

If we raise $10,000 in 10 days, generous community donors will contribute an additional $6,000. That means your gift helps unlock even more support for our students.

We hope you’ll take a few moments to read each of the three campaign messages, make a contribution to the Direct Donation Drive, and learn more about how art—and stewardship—shape the learning experience at Ridgeline.

💙 Thank you for investing in public Montessori education. Every gift—big or small—moves us closer to our $100,000 goal.

Let’s do this, Ridgeline!

Volunteering - What You Need to Know

Volunteers are an essential part of the Ridgeline community, and there are many ways to get involved!

  • From serving on committees, preparing materials at home, and helping with grounds work, to assisting in classrooms, chaperoning field trips, acting as crossing guards, and more—your time and talents make a big difference.

Each family is asked to contribute 40 volunteer hours per school year and we’d love to help you find volunteer opportunities that fit your schedule and interests.

  • To participate, all volunteers must first complete a background check and sign the Volunteer Code of Conduct.
  • Once these two steps are complete, the School Community Coordinator will notify you by email that you are green badge approved and ready to volunteer!
  • Visit our website or contact Ridgeline’s School Community Coordinator, Bethany Dilla, or learn more.

Track it Forward - Information for New Volunteers

Why It Matters

New beginnings prompt the opportunity to form new habits! When it comes to volunteering, we need everyone to consistently track ALL volunteer hours throughout the school year in Track It Forward. Volunteer hour reporting is important for us to show support for Ridgeline when applying for grants and for reporting to our sponsoring district, Eugene 4J.

How to Get Started

If you are new to Ridgeline and have not yet created a Track it Forward account for logging your volunteer hours, please take a moment to do so. If you are a first-time Track It Forward user and have not set up an account you will need to create an account first.

  • Go to https://www.trackitforward.com/user or go to the App store on your device and search for Track It Forward
  • Next download the App
  • Create your account/log in
  • Sign up for volunteer opportunities and log your volunteer hours!

CRITICAL INFORMATION ABOUT PICK-UP TIME: PLEASE READ

Recently, there have been several unsafe driving behaviors around pick-up time (3:00 - 3:15 p.m.) We want to clarify expectations and ensure everyone understands the safety guidelines Thank you for helping us keep drop-off and pick-up safe, respectful, and smooth for all Ridgeline students, families, and neighbors.

The Bottom Line

  • The drive-through queue should extend only to Rosewood Drive (the small “no-name” street)

  • The curb in this area is yellow (NO PARKING), with space for approximately four vehicles between Rosewood and Ridgeline’s entrance
  • If the queue area is full, do not wait in the travel lane on West Amazon

  • DO NOT BLOCK the street or driveways, or mailboxes to the north of Rosewood

  • DO NOT DRIVE in the left-hand lane of oncoming traffic. It is unsafe and illegal to impede traffic or cross the double yellow line to bypass waiting cars.

Safe Options (Choose One & Please Consider Option 2)

Option 1: If the line is full, CONTINUE DRIVING DOWN West Amazon, TURN LEFT on Snell, CIRCLE BACK by turning left on Fox Hollow, and return to West Amazon when space becomes available.

Option 2: PARK FARTHER UP THE STREET OR ACROSS THE BRIDGE AND WALK OVER TO MEET YOUR STUDENT. Many families choose this option, and it significantly reduces congestion.

Remember that pick-up lasts 10 minutes—there is no need for everyone to arrive right at 3:05 p.m!
