Kia ora Vogeltown whānau, welcome to the fourth newsletter for 2024.

What a week we have had! A massive thank you to everyone who came along to the Whānau Fiesta on Wednesday night. It was great to have the opportunity to come together as a community in a fun and relaxed way - the weather definitely helped! A massive thanks to our Vogeltown Home and School, and our VS staff for the organisation.

It has been a bustling week throughout all of the classrooms with lots of learning, assessments and fun creative activities. Our school goals is to be ‘Courageous’, and it is evident that our ākonga/students are trying their very best to show courage by never giving up, and having a positive attitude towards their learning. Keep reading to see some of the amazing things that have been achieved this week.

Next week we begin the season of tryathlons as we build up to the WeetBix Tryathlon (27th March). We have our annual Syndicate tryathlons on Wednesday 28th February, our contributing Kindy tryathlon on Thursday 29th February and our Whanau Tryathlon on Friday the 1st March! Keep an eye out for the information that has been sent out today.

We also have been lucky enough to have Scooter and Cycle skill sessions being next week as well. We have another big week ahead!

Have a fantastic weekend

VOGELTOWN SCHOOL FEES/DONATION VOGELTOWN SCHOOL FEES/DONATION

zoom_out_map

A reminder to everyone that we do not ask for a school donation/fee at Vogeltown School. The Vogeltown Board opted in to the Ministry of Education donation scheme for 2024, which means we get paid a donation from the government and we do not ask families to contribute to any 'curriculum related' costs - including transport and events like Life Education.

More information can be found on the Ministry of Education's website.
