Things here at Fowler are officially in full swing! Students are settling into their routines, classrooms are busy with learning, and it has been great to see the energy throughout the building. In just a few weeks, we will host our Back to School Night. Please see the information in the attachments below for all the details.
Back to School Night is a great opportunity for you to “walk the walk” that your student does each day. From visiting classrooms and meeting teachers to learning more about routines, expectations, and curriculum, the evening is a wonderful opportunity to bring home and school together. We hope you can join us!
Something to Think About
Every so often, I come across a resource that I find interesting, informative, or simply worth sharing—and I like to pass these along to families, just as I do with the Fowler staff.
I often say: Take it or leave it, but please at least think about it!
This week, I’m attaching a visual that identifies a variety of social media apps and platforms that kids may be using. I’ll admit, there were quite a few on the list that I had never even heard of!
As adults, it can be difficult to keep up with the constantly changing digital world our students navigate. I found this resource helpful simply because it gave me a better understanding of some of the apps, platforms, and online spaces that young people may be encountering.
My hope in sharing it is not to create worry, but rather to give families another resource that might help start conversations, ask questions, and stay connected to what our kids are experiencing online.
As always, thank you for your continued partnership and support of our Fowler students.

Please keep in mind that school cancellations or other changes to the school calendar may impact the rotation schedule, so adjustments may be necessary as the year progresses.
Hopefully, this will be a helpful resource for planning ahead!

Football Games: Student Spectator Expectations
Home Football Games – Our Maynard High School home football games provide an opportunity for the entire community to get together outside on a beautiful Friday evening, hear the MHS Pep Band, and support Maynard Tiger Football! We want everyone in the community to feel comfortable at the games, so we have some guidelines for MHS and Fowler students and information for caregivers:
ALL School Rules Apply – We expect all students to behave responsibly, just as we do during the school day. If an adult asks you to stop doing something, please stop! School consequences apply to behavior at athletic events.
Absolutely NO throwing of flour – Members of our community have serious gluten allergies. Bags of flour will be confiscated and thrown away.
Have fun, get loud, and cheer for the Maynard Tigers! At the high school level, jeering against the other team is considered poor sportsmanship, and is not allowed.
PARENTS AND CAREGIVERS – Game Staff may not be able to see students in every corner of the complex at all times. Please instruct your students to stay at the game, in the lighted and supervised areas of the Alumni Field complex, for their safety. Even better, come out and join the other adults so you can keep an eye on your student, which is safer AND more fun!
