Arrival & Dismissal Procedures Arrival & Dismissal Procedures

Thank you to everyone for partnering with us to make arrival and dismissal as smooth as possible. The start of the school year is always a work in progress as we try to refine our procedures and work together to make the process flow as easily and safely as possible. We wanted to take a moment and share a few procedures, requests and an observation or two from the first couple of weeks. We have greatly appreciated the feedback, patience and partnership so far this year and look forward to working together as we continue through 2026-2027. Please reach out with any questions.

  • Students should enter and exit from the curb. Walking around the car and into the traffic is potentially dangerous.
  • If you need to assist a student with a buckle, please pull into a parking spot. In the morning, you can unbuckle the child(ren) and walk them to the crosswalk. In the afternoon, once the child is loaded, feel free to pull into a spot in the parking lot.
  • If there isn't an adult or student helper at your area for drop off in the morning and your child(ren) need help, please wait and then pull up to the next available helper.
  • The tardy bell rings at 7:40 am. If the student is not in the building prior to that time, they may be marked tardy. On some occasions, staff may wait outside for families still pulling in at 7:40. We can't always guarantee that someone will be there a minute or two after 7:40, and students may still be marked tardy even if they are walking in with a staff member.
  • If there is not a staff member outside in the car line, parents/guardians/family members MUST accompany the student to the front office and sign them in. Please do not let the child out of the car to walk up and ring the doorbell.
  • We have noticed that the shortest wait times in the morning are from 7:15-7:25. This is an approximation of our observations and could change Monday morning based on the morning routines of families. That being said, there has definitely been a higher concentration of vehicles coming through the line starting earlier this year than last year (7:30ish vs. 7:40sih). Please arrive as early as is possible for your family to ensure your students are in class when it is time to start.
