QE Parent/Guardian Weekly Update
October 31, 2026
Hello QE Families!
As we move into November, a month of thankfulness, we look back on all the learning, engagement, and celebration in October. We kicked things off this week by welcoming Superintendent, Dr. Hoffman, who was on campus to meet parents and answer questions. If you missed the meet and greet, please feel free to reach out to her anytime.
On Wednesday, energy was high as we held our monthly QE PRIDE celebrations. The QE Panther and I had a blast visiting every homeroom to recognize students who demonstrated outstanding perseverance throughout the month. Each winner received a special certificate and an invitation to an upcoming pancake breakfast. Congratulations to all of our honorees! Next month, our PRIDE focus turns to showing respect. Finally, we wrapped up the week with our annual fall parade and classroom celebrations. Our students are very creative, and it was wonderful seeing so many families join us to cheer them on and share in the fun.

Dr. B’s Top 3 Showing Pride at QE
Each week, Dr. Bubser was looking for QE Pride (Perseverance, Respect, Control, Dependability, and Effort). Check out the top three from last week!
Let’s hear it for Nina in Mrs. Goldcamp’s homeroom. She has been extremely helpful during breakfast and during lunch. She shows up ready to help take kindergarteners to their classroom after breakfast and she also shows leadership by helping the younger students in lunch. Thank you Nina for always showing amazing QE PRIDE! I wonder if you will someday be a kindergarten teacher.
We have another student who has shown QE PRIDE during lunch. Congratulations to Gael in Mrs. Held’s class who volunteered to straighten all of the returned trays so the cafeteria staff members have a neat pile that they can easily carry to the dishwasher. Thank you Gael for helping the adults and showing dependability.
Oaklyn gets a shout-out for showing QE PRIDE on the 2nd grade field trip. She was a great buddy and took her duties very seriously! She wanted everyone to have a positive experience. She was also very interested and respectful to the guide. Way to go Oaklyn!
Building Connection
We are dedicated to creating intentional opportunities for academic and social connection between our staff, students, and families. Our Fall Parade at our new 6GC location was a wonderful reflection of that commitment in action! Holding the parade around the track provided a beautiful setting for our community to gather. Having families line the perimeter outside the fence worked well and I hope everyone enjoyed the time together.
Events like this remind us that school is more than just a place of learning; it is a community. I am grateful for the connections with many of you. Thank you for showing up, supporting our students, and helping us build a welcoming environment. I look forward to seeing you again at conference time.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
Mark your calendars for the upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences. Teachers have been reaching out to parents to schedule a time slot. Conferences are a great time to celebrate your child’s progress, discuss their academic performance, and collaborate on goals for the remainder of the year. We look forward to partnering with you to support your child’s success!
November 23rd - 4:00 - 7:00PM
November 24th - 1:00 - 4:00PM
Conferences will be scheduled for 15 minutes, and parents may choose to have an in-person or virtual conference with their child’s teachers.

We believe every child is a valued and treasured member of our school family. You can trust that we are fully committed to ensuring your child feels respected, safe, and supported in their growth.
