Happy Friday, Davis Families!

Tonight is Scioto's first home football game of the season. A few reminders for any of our students who are planning to attend:

  • Students must purchase a ticket. You can purchase through HomeTown Ticketing at this link. Tickets can also be purchased at the gate.
  • Unless sitting with their families, Davis students should sit in the section of bleachers closest to the school. (Shaded green in the picture below.) Please do not congregate and loiter under the bleachers or in the area of the concession stand unless you are purchasing items.
  • Please do not bring outside items (backpacks, footballs, etc) to the game.
  • All school rules apply at extracurricular activities.
  • Cheer Loud!! Go Irish!

Just a reminder to those who drop their student off in the morning -- please use the student drop off area in the athletic parking lot between 8-8:25am, as well as when picking your student up after school. The driveway loop in front of the building is for busses only. Let's work together to keep everyone safe!

Have a great weekend.

Go Irish!

Important Chromebook Information

Families are responsible for making a non-refundable, annual technology payment of $50. This fund is established to fund repairs in the event of accidental damage to a student’s Chromebook. If the tech fee is not paid, the full cost for any kind of repair will be the responsibility of the student’s family. If you haven’t already paid, please make the payment now at https://payschoolscentral.com.

Families who qualify for free or reduced meals will not be charged a tech fee or will be charged a reduced rate consistent with their federal benefits eligibility.

*If you think you may qualify for this benefit, please reach out to guidance secretary Laura Frazee (frazee_laura@dublinschools.net)*

The $50 annual technology fee includes accidental damage protection. This covers repairs caused by accidental damage to screens, keys, keyboards, broken hinges, and internal ports for power and headphones.

Tech fee limitations:

  • 2 break-fix issues totaling no more than $365 per school year

  • 1 replacement during the student's middle school years

Accidental damage protection does not cover:

Power cords: The student/parent/guardian must replace damaged or lost cords. Please check the device's model before ordering a new cord.

Replacement stylus: The student/parent/guardian replaces damaged or lost stylus. Please check the device's model before ordering a new stylus.

*Damage caused by deliberate action of the student is not covered by the accidental damage protection fund. If a Chromebook is lost or damaged due to neglect, the Parent/Guardian/Student may be liable for the full purchase price or repair of the device.*

If you have questions, please visit the district technology page

https://www.dublinschools.net/departments/technology/chromebooks or email Davis MS librarian Meggan Aston at aston_meggan@dublinschools.net.

Spring 2026 8th Grade Washington, DC Trip

Incoming 8th Grade Families,

This is just a reminder that it is time to register your student with Prodigy Travel if they will be joining the Washington, DC trip in May. We have urged students who are interested to work to help with the cost of the trip...it may help them appreciate it that much more! Mowing, mulching or pulling weeds, raking leaves, and shoveling snow in the winter in the neighborhood are all good ways to get started.

Here is the link to all of the DC information including the Prodigy website to create an account, register for the trip, and make payments.

For families who were unable to attend the informational meeting last spring, we will be having another informational meeting on October 1 at 7:30PM in the DMS Commons.

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Ms. Wilhelm, 8th grade team lead and DC advisor.

Breakfast/Lunch Information

Part of the back to school routine is making sure that your student has a current Pay Schools account for breakfast and lunch. You can also fill out the Free and Reduced Meal Application for your students. Apply online through PaySchools Central or use one of our printable forms (translated in multiple languages) to submit your information.

Meal Prices Add Up! Apply Now for Free/Reduced School Meals

Check a back-to-school box off your list by going ahead and filling out the Free and Reduced Meal Application for your students. Easily apply online through PaySchools Central.

Why apply?

  • It can lower or waive technology fees.

  • It connects families to additional resources and support.

  • It ensures your student gets a healthy meal at school every day.

  • It helps reduce or prevent meal account debt, which carries over from year to year.

Note: Students with negative meal account balances will receive a standard school meal, but they won’t be able to purchase extra (ā€œa la carteā€) items.

The Food Services team works closely with school principals to notify families and help manage account balances. Once a student’s meal charges reach $25 or more, you’ll receive automated phone calls as a reminder to add funds. Applying for Free & Reduced Meals is the best way to avoid accumulating a growing balance.
