Notes from Mr. Gillespie...

What another great week at Hardin Park! From flapjacks to field trips, our Golden Eagles had plenty of opportunities to learn, explore, and have a little fun along the way. It is always wonderful to see our students engaged in new experiences and making memories with their classmates!

As a reminder, there is no school for students tomorrow. We hope everyone enjoys the day!

Be on the lookout for parent-teacher conference sign-up forms coming home soon. We look forward to connecting with our families to celebrate student growth, discuss progress, and work together to support each child’s success. October 28 and 29 will be early release days to accommodate parent-teacher conferences, so please plan accordingly.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. I hope everyone enjoys the long weekend, and I look forward to welcoming our Golden Eagles back to school soon!

🤒 Keeping Our Golden Eagles Healthy

Illness is on the rise, and we need your help keeping our Golden Eagle family healthy! If your child is feeling unwell, please keep them home to rest and recover. According to Watauga County Schools’ student health guidelines, students should remain home if they have a fever of 100.4°F or higher, vomiting, diarrhea, a persistent or worsening cough, or other symptoms that prevent them from comfortably participating in school.

Before returning to school, students must be fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication and free from vomiting and diarrhea for at least 24 hours. Students with other illnesses or symptoms may need additional time at home or medical clearance before returning.

We appreciate your partnership in helping prevent the spread of illness and keeping our students and staff healthy. Please ensure your emergency contact information is up to date so we can reach you promptly if your child becomes ill during the school day.
