Dear Washington Families,

We hope you and your family had a restful and joyful winter break. As we begin this new chapter of learning together, we are excited to welcome our students back to school with renewed energy, bright smiles, and a shared commitment to helping every child succeed.

At Washington Elementary, we know that the strongest foundation for student success is built through collaboration between families, teachers, and students. When we work together—communicating, supporting one another, and celebrating growth—our students thrive both academically and socially. Thank you for being such important partners in your child’s education.

As we restart our routines, we also want to highlight the importance of regular attendance. Being at school each day helps students stay connected to their learning, build positive relationships, and develop confidence and consistency. Every school day matters, and your support in helping students arrive on time and ready to learn makes a meaningful difference.

Quick reminder for parents to please call our front office with any change in dismissal before 1pm. Providing us with timely information allows us to keep your student safe and be ready at dismissal time. Your support is greatly appreciated.

We are looking forward to an exciting season of learning, growth, and community ahead. Thank you for your continued partnership, and for helping make Washington Elementary a welcoming and supportive place for all.

Here’s to a strong and successful start to the new year—Go Eagles! 🎉

Warm regards,

Alfredo Belanger - Principal

Antonio Ramos - Asst. Principal

Winter Sing-Along Assembly 🎶❄️

We had a wonderful time coming together as a school community for our Winter Sing-Along Assembly! We had our amazing Choir club lead us through a few songs, several special guests made an appearance and everyone got a chance to get up and dance. A heartfelt thank you to our Music Teacher, Mrs. Hall, for organizing such a joyful event and helping our students shine through song.

We would also like to congratulate Mrs. Vela on being awarded a classroom grant! This exciting recognition will support continued learning and enrichment for her students.

Thank you to our families for your ongoing support—moments like these make our school community so special. Go Eagles! 🦅

Parent Communication

Dear Woodburn Families:

We’re excited to share that we’ve adopted a new communication platform called ParentSquare to help us keep you better informed and more connected with your school community. We wanted to make everyone aware that ParentSquare purchased the Remind app. As a result, we have begun transitioning to Parent Square.

One huge benefit of this transition is the ability to use one platform for our communication needs instead of multiple platforms. Parent Square will be used for parent communications as well as our autodialer “robocall” needs. Parent Square is also much more user friendly when it comes to accessing communications in multiple languages.

We’ll be sharing more information soon on our social media during Winter Break, (including how to set up your account and customize your notification preferences). Please make sure to follow the District’s Facebook and Instagram accounts and don't miss out on this important information! Thank you in advance for your patience as we transition.

Safety Safety

As we return to our routines, we kindly ask for your attention and cooperation in following the directions of our staff at the front of the school. They are there to supervise and help your student arrive safely.

Drivers: Please pull all the way forward to the designated drop-off point before allowing your child to exit the car. Pulling forward helps keep traffic flowing and ensures safety for everyone.

Additionally, please follow the designated traffic patterns in our front car lanes. When entering the parking lot, use the east entry only. The west ramp is strictly for exiting.

By working together and following these guidelines, we can keep everyone—especially our students—safe during busy drop-off times. Thank you for your cooperation!
