CPHS Weekly Update
November 2nd, 2026
Greetings from Crown Point High School!
Here is some information for our parents and families as we begin a new week at CPHS.
PSAT
On October 8th, our 9th, 10th, and 11th graders took the PSAT. Students received their scores during resource period on Thursday, October 29th.
There is another easy way for students to check their scores. They can sign into their College Board accounts. They may already have that bookmarked on their device, or they can use the following link: https://studentscores.collegeboard.org/. The students will use their College Board credentials to access the site.
SAT
On Wednesday, March 3rd, all 11th grade students will be taking the SAT during the school day. All students in state of Indiana take the SAT at school in the spring of their junior year. While our juniors take the SAT, our 9th and 10th graders will take the spring PSAT. Our seniors will have an eLearning day.
11th grade parents: Please see the following link that provides you with information about the SAT: SAT Parent Communication
We will continue to provide SAT information to our 11th grade parents as we move towards the March 3rd test day.

- Senior ads are on sale until Dec. 31 or when ad space sells out.
- Visit CrownTownMedia.com for the CPHS news and entertainment site or contact Lisa Keene at Lkeene@cps.k12.in.us for more information.
Cell Phones
A new Indiana law prohibits students from using cell phones and other personal communication devices during the school day (7:35am -2:37pm), including passing periods, study halls, and lunch. This is a statewide legal requirement that all public schools must implement. The law applies to cell phones, smart watches, smart glasses, tablets brought from home, etc.
Please be mindful of this Indiana law. We will continue to work with students with school announcements, posters, and reminders.
Senior Parents - Graduation
Graduation orders, including your senior’s cap and gown for the graduation ceremony, can be made with Herff Jones now until February 28th, 2027.
Herff Jones offers a variety of optional packages and senior items. Please visit the website: herffjones.com or see flyer for more information: Class of 2027 Herff Jones Flyer
Cap and gown distribution will be at CPHS (spring 2027 dates TBD).
Questions about orders should be directed to Herff Jones representative, Doug Kingsley at dakingsley@herffjones.com
Student Square
If parents need to communicate with their child during the school day, one option is the Family Messaging feature in ParentSquare. Students will only be able to communicate with their legal guardians using this feature by being logged into StudentSquare on their Chromebook. You can find instructions in the image linked here: Student Square
Parking Passes
Student drivers may pick up parking passes in the CPHS Attendance before or after school. In order to receive a parking pass, students must bring their driver’s license, car registration, proof of insurance, and parking permit application. There is no charge for the pass.
All students who drive to school must have the pass displayed while in the school lot.
School Safety
School safety is always on our minds and is our top priority. Thank you for partnering with CPHS to keep our students safe. If you have information or concerns about student safety, please contact us via phone/email or make a report using the link below.
Safe schools anonymous tip line - If you see or hear something, say something.
Safety Reminders for Students
Students should report to a teacher, counselor, administrator, police officer, or any adult in the building if there is a safety concern. It is always better to overreport and be on the safe side.
During school hours (7:00 a.m. to 2:37 p.m.) hats and hoods are not allowed to be worn in our building. This is so that all students can be identified. This is also a part of the CPHS dress code.
Student drivers must remain cautious in the parking lot and near the school. Please remind students to drive slowly and follow the directions of our police officers. All student drivers must have a parking pass displayed in their vehicle while in the CPHS lot and park in a parking spot and not on the curb. Additional parking spaces are available at St. Matthias Church.
Student dismissal is at 2:37 pm. Students who do not have supervised after-school activities should leave the building by 3 pm. Students who are waiting for rides should wait in the lobby of the school near the front entrance.
