Dear DaVinci Academy Families,

What an incredible first week of school! Walking through our classrooms, hallways, and learning spaces, I have seen so much positive energy, excitement, and joy as we begin this new year together.

Thank you to our dedicated teachers and staff for creating welcoming and engaging spaces, to our families for your partnership, and to our students for bringing your curiosity and enthusiasm to learning each day.

As we move forward, let’s continue building on this positive momentum supporting one another, striving for excellence, and making this school year one where we all feel joy and belonging.

We’re excited to share that the DaVinci Community Closet is now open and available to support families in need of basic essentials, no questions asked. Located in the 4th-grade hallway, the closet is stocked with hygiene items (toothbrushes, toothpaste, body wash, soap, deodorant, laundry supplies, scrubbies, feminine products), hair care, and school supplies. If your family could benefit from any of these items, please fill out our confidential request form: https://forms.gle/rkzvmRtorfZPVscH6. If you’d like to donate, check out our Amazon Wishlist or drop off gently-used clothing or new hygiene supplies at the school. Currently, the closet could use some dish soap, 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner, and more laundry detergent items! Thank you for being a part of our caring community!

It's time to register for fall activities at DaVinci Academy! If you're new to our after-school activities, be sure to read the activity information on our school website and then explore the available options here. Registration is open August 20-30 (use the Infinite Campus School Store for activities offered by DaVinci Academy staff). Some activities are on a slightly different schedule, shown on the website at the link above. Activities fill up fast! Reach out to Julie Kresh with any questions.

Cross Country Team

There’s still a few spots left on DaVinci Academy’s Cross Country Team. Offered for grades 5-8, athletes compete both in an individual and team format in races over natural terrain like grass, dirt, and trails. Registration is open until August 24 (use the Infinite Campus School Store to register).

Volleyball

Registration for volleyball is now open!

DaVinci Academy volleyball teams participate with the Centennial Community Education league. When registering, be sure to click on the DaVinci Academy option to ensure you are on a DaVinci Academy team.

*NOTE: Practices have not yet been scheduled and will depend on coach availability and gym availability. Practices could be right after school or in the evenings.

Welcome back, returning families, and a big warm welcome to our new Davinci families. Going back to school is an exciting time of year, but it can also bring up a variety of feelings for students and parents. The Mental Health Team is here to help provide support. DaVinci Families, we are thrilled to welcome everyone to a new school year!

Our PTO is a dedicated group of parents, teachers, and staff who work together to enhance the educational experience for every student at DaVinci Academy.

We encourage you to get involved in any way that suits your schedule and interests. Attend our monthly meetings, volunteer for events, or simply support our amazing fundraisers. Your participation, big or small, makes a meaningful impact on our children and teachers.

· August public meeting is on Monday, August 25th at 4:30pm in Ms. Severson’s room (Room 304).

· Our Kick-off DaVinner is Wednesday, August 27th at Chipotle (12409 Ulysses St NE, Blaine) from 4-8pm. 25% of event sales goes to the PTO!

As the DaVinici Academy PTO Executive Board, we will do our best to make this year rewarding and memorable for the entire DVA community!
