Help our school by buying your groceries. This last quarter we earned $1165.23 from families buying groceries! We used that money for Winter Fest festivities without even touching the budget! It is the easiest fundraiser and takes less than 10 minutes to set up. Set your neighbor up, grandma, dentist, whomever you have a relationship with.

Dear Families,

As we have reached the midpoint of the school year, we want to thank you for your ongoing support and share a quick reminder about how weโ€™re continuing to promote positive behavior and a strong learning environment. To reinforce expectations,I am in the process of revisiting classrooms to review expectations around Title IX and other behavior concerns we are noticing.

Families can help by reviewing classroom and school expectations and routines with your child.

Thank you for partnering with us. With your continued support, weโ€™ll finish the year strong and help every student reach their potential. Please reach out if you have questions or concerns.

Warm Regards,

Dr. McWright, Dean of Students

Rob Townsend

Dear Quest Parents/Guardians,

The Aurora Quest K8 counselors will host an informational conversation on 02/25 at 4PM in the Quest Media Center. The Quest counselors will share information pertaining to classroom social emotional learning lessons, behavioral trends, discuss at-home interventions that support studentโ€™s in-school success and wellbeing, and answer questions you may have. As well, we have invited an Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapist to explain the rationale behind this research based and evidence supported therapeutic modality.

More information to come. We hope you can join us on February 25th at 4PM.

Notes from the Nurse...

  • Flu rates have continued to rise with additional reports of "super flu". Hospitals in numerous areas including Connecicut, Pennsylvania, and University of New Mexico are at capacity due to flu. Please consider obtaining the influenza vaccine for all members of your family.

  • This is a reminder to parents of our younger students to please have a clean change of clothes in their backpack every day. We stock changes of shirts, underwear, socks, gloves, and hats but not pants.

  • Dry skin season is almost year round in Colorado but so much worse in the winter. Some suggestions include applying a thick cream moisturizer after bathing while the skin is still damp. This will help hold in moisture. Increase fluid consumption. Use a humidifier in bedrooms--this can also help with nosebleeds. Be sure to change the water daily. Lips--please send a "chapstick" with your child. A petroleum jelly (Vaseline) is perfect.

Please let me know how I can help your child.
