Respect, Responsibility and Resourcefulness
A Prayer for Gentle Hearts
Loving God,
you are with us in every moment,
in our joys, our worries, and all the days we don’t understand.
Thank you for the gift of this school family
and for each person you have placed beside us.
Help us to come before you in humility,
to slow down, to listen,
and to notice those around us who need care.
Make us gentle with one another,
generous with kindness,
and quick to offer a hand.
Let our school be a place of safety, welcome and love,
a small light of your peace in the world.
Mary, our Mother, teach us to love as your Son loves.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.

The Sister Incarnation Memorial Jog-a-thon is Saturday, October 17, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Kibbie Dome,. Pledges can still be made online at stmarysmoscow.schoolauction.net/jog2026. We hope every family can stop by for an hour to cheer on our students!
Win a Two-Night Stay at The Coeur d’Alene Resort!
The family that raises the most in pledges will win a two-night family stay at The Coeur d’Alene Resort! Every pledge counts, so keep spreading the word to family and friends!
Jog Shirts were Delivered: We hope everyone wears them to the jog, and the shirts are theirs to keep!
Expecting an Online Pledge?
Online pledges are being emailed to families as they come in. We have a few online pledges that didn’t name a specific student. If your child is in Preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten, or 3rd grade and you’re expecting an online pledge but haven’t received an email about it, please contact fundraisers@stmarysmoscow.org.
Thank you for supporting this special St. Mary’s tradition. See you at the Dome! And, please bring family, friends, and neighbors to join the fun. Go Lions!
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
🙏 This Week at St. Mary's
- Tuesday, October 19 - School Rosary at 7:30 AM. All are welcome!
- Saturday, October 17 - Sr. Incarnation Memorial Jog-a-Thon @ the Kibbie Dome from 2-4 PM
- 📸 Picture Day is Tuesday, October 20!
-
Students may wear picture-ready free dress for school photos. Think “dressed for a special occasion”: a nice shirt, sweater, dress or collared top, with clean, neat clothes and shoes. Please skip T-shirts with large logos or graphics, athletic wear, hats, and anything that wouldn’t be appropriate for school.
Photos will be taken between 8:30 and 9:30 a.m. A comb and a smile are all they need!
Calling all 6th and 7th Grade Athletes
St. Mary’s is bringing back a strong sports program for our students. More information about Hallissey will be shared next week, so keep an eye out!
Coming this spring: Track & Field! 🏃
We’re excited to be starting a track team for our 6th and 7th graders this spring.
Could you be our coach? We’re looking for a track coach. If you have a love of running and a heart for helping kids grow, please reach out to Dr. B. No elite experience is needed, just enthusiasm and commitment.
Is your 6th or 7th grader interested? Click the button below to let us know. It isn’t a commitment yet. It just helps us plan.
HALLOWEEN COSTUME GUIDELINES🎃👻
As Halloween approaches, our students are planning their trick-or-treating costumes. Before the big night, students may wear their costumes to school on Wednesday, October 28, in the afternoon! Students are also warmly invited to dress as their favorite saint in honor of All Saints' Day. ✨

⭐ ALL COSTUMES MUST BE SCHOOL APPROPRIATE ⭐
🏫 School-Ready Costumes

🎃 Students must not hinder their ability to carry supplies, sit at their desks, and work in class.
🎃 Students must be able to use the restroom on their own.
🧙 Accessories
🎃 Must come off easily.
🎃 No weapons of any kind, real or pretend.
🎃 Must not disrupt learning. We will hold misused accessories until the end of the day.
🎃 No silly string or toy accessories.
🎭 Face & Mouth
🎃 Nothing in the mouth: no pacifiers or fake teeth.
🎃 No Make-up. Please don't send makeup, face paint, hair color spray, or fake blood to school.
🎃 No full-face masks, pullover masks, or hoods during the day. Masks are OK for the parade only if your child can see clearly.
👟 Footwear
🎃 Shoes must be safe and supportive.
🎃 No sandals, flip-flops, or slippery dress shoes.
🎃 PE that day? It will be in the morning so as not to interfere with costumes
A note from our friendly scarecrow:
We can't wait to see all the costumes! Thank you for helping make this a safe and joyful afternoon for everyone. 🎃
Questions about whether a costume is okay, or need to store a costume before the afternoon? Please reach out to your homeroom teacher or Dr. B.
👕 Uniform Exchange: Donations Needed!
Our uniform exchange is running low! If your child has outgrown any St. Mary's uniform pieces, please pass them on to another family. Cooler weather is coming, so sweaters, cardigans and long pants are especially welcome.
To donate: Drop off clean uniform items in good condition at the front office any school day.
Thank you for helping our school families. Your hand-me-downs make a real difference!
