It has been wonderful to see so many faces back in school after many students participated in temporary virtual learning. The last few months have been very difficult for many students, families and staff. I am proud of our staff and they way they have helped families through these difficult times. With spring comes new beginnings and I feel confident we will be able to finish the year strong. Seniors only have 9 weeks left in the school year with everyone else having 11. Please encourage your child to come to school everyday as attendance is a huge factor in student success.

It has finally arrived! Mr. Iliff wrote an Ecolab grant for a diving simulator has finally arrived. If you are you under 18 years old and want to get your driver's permit, talk with Mr. Iliff in room 1101. Mr. Iliff can assist in getting you into the program and earning your driver's permit.

Quick update: grade information is now available on the attendance dashboard. Follow the directions below to access your student's attendance dashboard, now with updated grade information.

If your student has to miss school or is working virtually, they should still be logging in to Schoology and completing work. This will help the school know that you are still engaged and working. Also, students should email their teachers and they can help answer questions.

Families are now able to track student's attendance at Gordon Parks with our new Attendance Dashboard. This provides you up-to-date attendance information for your student in one place.

Please join us at our spring awards ceremony during conferences on May 21st from 3:30 to 6 PM. You will have the opportunity to influence our 2026-27 School Comprehensive Improvement Plan. We will also be gathering input on our 2026-27 Family Engagement Plan, and our 2026-27 School-Family Compact. Translators will be available and there will be a light meal served.
