Hello Luna Longhorn Parents,

Things are running full speed ahead at Luna. It is hard to believe that we are starting our 6th week of school. As we continue to remain committed to providing a safe and positive environment for our students, please continue to talk to your student about behavior before and after school, during passing periods and at Lunch. Our number one priority for your student is to create a safe and productive learning environment.

As our students continue to participate in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities, we are making an adjustment involving student attendance at all off campus events. If your student is wishing to support Luna at any off-campus event, for example: a Volleyball game at Brennan, they will need to be accompanied by an adult. We thank you for your understanding and support as we work to ensure that all Luna students are safe at all times.

I personally would like to thank each of you for your support as we have started this school year. There are a lot of new faces at Luna, and several people sitting in different roles (including me). Your kinds words, understanding and support do not go unnoticed.

Please help us welcome Mrs. Graciela Villarreal to the Longhorn family. She will be the counselor for our students' last names alpha T-Z. We share Ms. Villarreal with Straus Middle School. Ms. Villarreal will be at Luna on Tuesday's and Thursday's and every other Friday. Please give her a warm welcome when you see her.

As we begin this 26-27 school year, please have conversations with your students about the importance of on campus reporting. If your student "See's Something", please encourage them to "Say Something".
