What an incredible turnout we had at Meet the Teacher! It was such a joy to see our hallways filled with smiling faces, excited students, and supportive families. We loved reconnecting with returning students and meeting so many new Tally Eagles. The hugs, excitement, and enthusiasm for the new school year made our day!

As we prepare to welcome students back on Wednesday, our staff is excited and ready for what we know will be an amazing year of learning, growth, and memorable experiences. During the first few days of school, our focus will be on getting to know our students, helping them feel safe, welcomed, and confident, and ensuring that every child has a smooth and successful start to the year.

We know this newsletter contains a lot of important information, and we appreciate you taking the time to review it. In particular, please make sure to read through the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal procedures, as these routines help us keep all of our students safe and ensure a smooth start and end to each day.

Thank you for sharing your children with us. We are honored to be part of their educational journey and look forward to partnering with you throughout the year. We can't wait to see all of our Tally Eagles on Wednesday and kick off a fantastic school year together!

• 1. Morning Arrival Procedures

  Students may be dropped off in the morning either at the front entrance by the office or at the back entrance near the cafeteria.

  • Kindergarten and 1st Grade students will report to the cafeteria.
  • 2nd-5th Grade students will report to the gym
  • Any students wanting to eat breakfast will go to the cafeteria and then report to their designated spot
  • Staff members will be on duty to supervise students and will then escort students to their classrooms at 7:35 a.m.

  First Week Procedures for Parents:

  • Wednesday, August 19 (First Day of School): Parents are welcome to walk their child to class beginning at 7:30 a.m.
  • Thursday and Friday: Only parents of Kindergarten students may accompany their child to the classroom as we help our newest Eagles become familiar with the campus.
  • Beginning Monday, August 24: We ask that all students walk independently to their classrooms when the bell rings. Parents should say their goodbyes at the designated entrances. We will have staff available to help any of our Eagles who may need some extra assistance getting to the correct classroom.

  Thank you for helping us establish a safe and smooth morning routine for all students!

  2. Meet the Teacher Packet Forms

  Please complete, sign, and return all forms included in the Meet the Teacher packet to your child's teacher by the end of the first week of school.

  3. Child Nutrition Form

  Please complete and return the PINK Child Nutrition Form as soon as possible. Only one form per family is required. Prompt submission helps ensure applications are processed quickly.

  Representatives from Child Nutrition will be available during Meet the Teacher to answer any questions you may have.

• 4. DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

If you are in need of School Supplies, please let your teacher know. We have plenty of extra donated supplies that we can provide for your student. Just let us know how we can help!
