Crusader Family News
August 2025
WELCOME BACK!
Dear Carver Crusader Families,
Welcome back to the 2025–2026 school year! I am excited to begin another year filled with learning, growth, and new opportunities for our students. It is with great enthusiasm and high expectations that I look forward to collaborating with our students, staff, and families to make this year the Best it Can Be!
Over the summer, our dedicated teachers have been busy writing curriculum, planning engaging lessons, and preparing their classrooms—all with the anticipation of welcoming their new students on Wednesday, August 27, 2025. Our commitment remains the same: to promote high standards to ensure all students become empowered learners and responsible citizens through a comprehensive curriculum that inspires students to learn and think creatively in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
I am grateful for the privilege of serving the Carver community and look forward to working together to support the success and well-being of our students. Please know my door is always open, and I welcome your questions, ideas, and feedback throughout the year.
Together we will make this a fantastic year for our Crusaders!
Christine Cabral

SCHOOL STATUS CONNECT
- Carver Public Schools is using the School Status Connect communications program Districtwide for our parent/student communications which will include Athletics and Extracurriculars. The goal in using this program is to provide clear, consistent communication regarding all things for your students in one place, as opposed to having multiple apps for each of your students activities.

Student Information System
Student schedules are updated and can be accessed through the ASPEN student information system. If students have any questions or concerns with their schedule, they can reach out to their guidance counselor. The ASPEN program has a grading system that allows students and parents/guardians access to all grading information online on a regular basis as well as report cards and teacher pages. Teachers are encouraged to keep their gradebook updated bi-weekly. Parents and students will use the same login information from the previous school year; however, if you have misplaced your password, please contact our main office staff at 508-866-6130, or for middle school email Michelle Nickerson at nickersonm@carver.org and for high school email Ashley Doyle at the main offices at doylea@carver.org.

Reporting Daily Absences
In the event your student will be absent from school, please email mhsabsent@carver.org to report this by 9am. An email will be sent to guardians for all students marked absent for the day at approximately 9:30 am. Doctors notes should be turned in to our school nurse by the student or emailed to Showank@carver.org or Foleyj@carver.org, or by fax at 508-866-5639.
Dismissals ~ Pick Up Patrol
Our goal is to have students in attendance each day and in their academic classes as much as possible. With this in mind we do understand that students may need to be dismissed for certain appointments. All appointments should be scheduled during non-school time, whenever possible. However, when it is unavoidable that a student be dismissed, parents submit plans for changes for their student by accessing the Pick Up Patrol or by sending an email to MHSdismissals@carver.org. Pull up to door #1 and your student will be sent out upon your arrival. Parents/guardians picking their student from the nurse can go directly to door #3.
Student Parking
We will be providing our student drivers an assigned numbered spot for the school year. Students will be able to pick their spot on a first come first serve basis. Student Parking Passes can be purchased through MySchoolBucks for $50.

SAT Registration: Seniors have the opportunity to take the SAT one last time this fall at Carver Middle High School on Wednesday, October 8th, during the school day. The exam costs $68, payable by cash or check made out to Carver Middle High School. Payments will be collected in the fall.
Students must register through this form by Friday, September 12th, and payment is due to the guidance office by Wednesday, October 1st. Please note that the SAT is not required for admission to two-year colleges or trade schools.
