SCS Weekend Communication

This week, June 1st - 5th, is Spirit Week, sponsored by the Student Council.

We're encouraging students to dress up with the following:

Monday: Pajama Day --wear cozy PJs or sweats

Tuesday: Future Career Day --dress like someone with a job or career you are interested in

Wednesday: Wacky Wednesday --wear bright colors, stripes & polka dots, mix & match, whatever is WACKY!

Thursday: Sports Day --wear a sports jersey or your favorite sports apparel

Friday: School Spirit Day --wear a Salisbury Community School t-shirt, Ripton Ridge Run t-shirt, or our school colors Blue, Green and White.

Please remind your child that our school dress code still applies: Students should wear clothes they feel comfortable in and that allow them to participate fully in all school activities. Nothing with profanity, violent or vulgar images, or references to alcohol or other drugs. Thank you!

We are looking forward to taking the whole school over to Waterhouses on Lake Dunmore on Thursday, June 11th to enjoy the last day of school outside together. Students will be traveling by bus to and from Waterhouses and we will have a BBQ lunch. Parents/Guardians are welcome to come for the lunch (please RSVP) and/or help out with some of the activities and logistics during the day. Please let Donna know if you are able to volunteer, or add your name to the Google Doc linked below.

Remember to send your child with the following:

• A bathing suit and towel

• Sunscreen

• Water bottle

• Optional: fishing pole, sand toys, PFD/life jacket, beach blanket

Please make sure everything is labeled with your child’s name on it.

This outing is weather dependent. Alternative plans will be made in the event of a complete wash-out.
