We hosted two joint site events at the beginning of March and one at the end. Our juniors were all in Keysville to fly their self-constructed tissue paper hot air balloons. This was a culminating project to reinforce the study of gas laws. Two balloons flew about 300 feet before coming down!

Our seniors were all in Alberta for the reinstated Renaissance Faire. Students created tents and traveled back in time to the Renaissance Era to enjoy woodworking, sword making, fortune telling, and games of chance and skill.

To end the month, our juniors reported back to Keysville for the annual Gatsby Gala. After an immersive study of the 1920s and our great American novel, juniors were inspired to create interactive booths centered around The Great Gatsby and culture in 1920s America. All students had a blast dressing up in their finest Gatsby garb and learning The Charleston.

Our exam schedules are posted. If there is a conflict with any of your scheduled exams, please communicate with your instructor and Mrs. Swain at your earliest convenience.

In an effort to expedite communication with parents, Mrs. Swain has created a parent email list-serve by site and grade. Washington, D.C. Trip

For those students attending the Washington, D.C. trip, we will meet with you the week we return from Spring Break to discuss details. There will be an informational sheet that will be taken home to parents.

Graduation

SVCC's graduation is Saturday, May 13, at 9:30 a.m. at the John H. Daniel Campus in Keysville. Information about graduation has been updated on the SVCC graduation page.
