Dear Longfellow Families,
We’ve officially started a new grading period. Parent-Teacher Conferences are scheduled for this week and next; we look forward to connecting with you to celebrate your child's progress and discuss how we can continue to support their success. This Wednesday and Thursday, our third graders will be taking the Ohio State Test (OST) — please make sure they get plenty of rest and arrive on time. Looking ahead, Halloween Bingo and classroom parties are just around the corner! Longfellow is busy, busy, busy! Thank you for your continued support!

On Friday, October 31, 2025, students will participate in a costume parade around the school, and our class Halloween parties will follow.
Students will come to school in their costumes.
No face paint, blood, make up. or costume masks are permitted.
Costumes must not be too scary and appropriate for the school environment.
All props should remain home—no wands, weapons, etc.
Halloween Spirit Wear is an option if preferred!
No additional candy or treats can be brought from home to be shared with the class. The only treats served will be provided by PTA and approved by the clinic.

Beginning next week the cafeteria will sell snacks at lunchtime. Students can choose from chips, cookies, or fruit snacks. Please note that students will only be able to purchase snack if they have a positive balance on their lunch account. Past due balances must be paid before students can buy snack. Breakfast and lunch will continue to be offered everyday at no cost, even if there is a balance on your student's account.
