To Know:
Reminder- caregivers will not be able to access the GOOGLE links (unless they have a district e-mail account and they are logged in from that account). Please remind students of this as well. They, too, cannot access unless they are logged into their school email account.
If your child is having difficulty getting into a classroom, please have them to send their teacher a google chat to make the teacher aware. This is a much faster process than you e-mailing administrators and waiting for a response.
Supporting E-Learning at Home
Below are some easy ways to support e-learning:
Create a Dedicated Learning Spot
- Allow your scholar to work at a desk, kitchen table, dining room table, card table, or anything with a hard surface.
- Have paper, pen, pencils, leisure book handy.
- Be sure to check the "supplies needed" list in their e-learning email
- Have de-stressors nearby:
- coloring book
- squeeze ball
- poppers
- sand bar
Minimize Distractions
- The designated learning spot should away from the TV, electonic games, cell phone etc.
- Scholars cannot babysit at the same time as trying to learn
Stick to a Schedule
- Do not allow your scholar to "stay up late" because they have an e-learning day the next day- treat it as a regular school night.
- If your child is accustomed to eating lunch at a certain time, have their favorite lunch or snacks near by.
Check In, Then Step Back
