October Edition
A Message to Our MacArthur Families
Dear MacArthur Families,
As we make our way through October, we want to take a moment to thank you for a wonderful first nine weeks of school! We hope you and your families enjoyed a restful Fall Break and are ready for all the exciting things ahead.
We are also excited to introduce our new administrative team! Please join us in welcoming our Interim Principal, Mrs. Provencio, and our new Assistant Principals, Ms. Knight, Ms. Rau, and Ms. Blanchette.
We are truly honored to serve the MacArthur community and grateful for the trust you place in us each day. Your children are at the heart of everything we do, and we are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment where every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to building strong relationships with our families and making this a memorable and successful school year for all our MacArthur Ponies!
With appreciation,
Your MacArthur Administrative Team
Every Student. Every Day. Every Opportunity.
Interim STAAR Testing
Next week, our students will begin STAAR Interim Reading Assessments on Tuesday and Wednesday!
These assessments help us better understand our students' academic strengths, identify learning gaps in specific standards, and determine how we can best support each child's continued growth and success.
We ask for your support in ensuring your child is present, well-rested, and ready to do their best! A good night's sleep, and arriving at school on time can make a big difference.
Thank you for partnering with us to help our MacArthur Ponies shine!
Upcoming Thanksgiving Luncheon Nov 10
One of the things we are most thankful for is our wonderful MacArthur community! We are excited to welcome our families to campus for a special Thanksgiving luncheon filled with gratitude, togetherness, and sweet memories with your little Ponies!
We look forward to celebrating with you and making this season extra special for our students.

Income Determination Form
This year we are asking that the Income Eligibility Form be submitted online. The information we receive helps support the amount of our Title I funding as a campus. If you have questions regarding the form please contact us at (915) 236-0625.
State law requires us to report the socioeconomic status of all students. This is not related to the free and reduced-price lunch program. This information is used to determine the amount of federal funds received and the accountability levels for each campus. The funds we receive based on this information help us purchase technology, elementary school supply kits, and provide tutors at all of our schools.
We need your assistance in completing the Income Eligibility Form today to help us gather the data that will support academic programs at our district and campuses. Please complete the form at https://www.episd.org/page/localincomeverificationform as soon as possible.
News From The Nurse Mrs. Perez
Our school nurses will soon begin conducting annual student health screenings, including vision, hearing, scoliosis, and acanthosis nigricans screenings.
These screenings are an important part of supporting our students' overall health and well-being by helping identify potential health concerns that may impact their learning and development.
If your child requires additional follow-up, our school nurse will contact you with further information.
News From Our Librarian Mrs. Newport
