Assistant Principal's Message Assistant Principal's Message

As we wrap up November and head into a well-deserved Thanksgiving Break, I want to take a moment to reflect on what an exciting and meaningful month it has been at Fairview. Our students, staff, and families took part in a wide range of experiences that highlight the spirit of our school community.

We were honored to welcome more than 50 veterans to our annual Veterans Walk of Honor. Their presence reminded our students of the importance of service, gratitude, and community, and we are thankful for the opportunity to recognize their contributions.

Throughout the month, students participated in Trading Post Days, practiced leadership and communication skills during Colt Conversations, and engaged in hands-on learning with the PP&L Think Energy lessons. Our Catch My Breath anti-vaping program also wrapped up, giving students valuable tools to make healthy decisions.

Our school Book Club met again, fostering a love of reading and thoughtful discussion. Meanwhile, our Mystery Motivator group enjoyed an unforgettable behind-the-scenes experience at the Hilton kitchens, complete with a tour and a delicious dessert bar. It was a wonderful celebration of positive choices and hard work.

We ended the month with plenty of laughter at our Colt CODE assembly, where Dr. Guistwhite, Dr. Harris, Mr. Obielecki, and Ms. Sementelli were treated to an enthusiastic Silly Stringing from our students. It was a joyful reminder of how fun and energetic our school community can be.

Thank you to our students, staff, and families for making November such a memorable month. I hope everyone enjoys a restful, safe, and happy Thanksgiving Break.

As we enter December, I am excited for another month filled with engagement, learning, and community at Fairview. This time of year brings wonderful opportunities for our students to grow, connect, and celebrate their hard work.

Throughout the month, we will continue to build strong communication and leadership skills during our Colt Conversations, and students will once again enjoy the hands-on experiences of Trading Post. We are also looking forward to a very special Mystery Motivator event right in our own kitchen, where District Chef Keenen will guide students through a behind-the-scenes culinary experience they won’t soon forget.

As a reminder, our school will be closed for Winter Break from Monday, December 22 through Friday, January 2. We wish all of our families a peaceful, safe, and enjoyable holiday season.

When we return, our 6th graders will kick off the new year with a boating experience at the Natatorium, a unique learning opportunity that blends teamwork, physical activity, and fun.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. I look forward to a joyful and productive December together.
