Dear Dealey Dragon Families,
We hope everyone enjoyed the long holiday weekend! As we move into April, we continue to be grateful for our incredible Dealey students, staff, and families. Your partnership and support make our school community strong and successful.
This week marks the beginning of STAAR testing, and we are confident in the preparation and progress our students have made throughout the year. With encouragement from home and support from our staff, our Dragons are ready to shine.
Together, we will continue to Strive for Excellence and finish the school year strong.

📝 STAAR Testing Begins This Week

Reading Language Arts STAAR
Wednesday, April 8 marks Dealey’s first STAAR testing day for Reading Language Arts.
To help ensure a smooth and successful testing day, please help your child by:
✅ Arriving on time — No late arrivals once testing begins
✅ Getting a good night's sleep the night before
✅ Eating a healthy breakfast
✅ Bringing a positive mindset and doing their best
Please note:
- Campus visitors will be limited during testing
- Lunch schedules may be adjusted
- Students should bring fully charged devices if applicable
We appreciate your support as our students demonstrate their learning and growth!

April is Child Abuse Prevention Month. Families and staff are encouraged to Wear Blue on Friday, April 10 to show support for safe and nurturing environments for all children.
Together, we help create a safe and supportive community for every student.

✔️ Registration for 2026–2027 School Year
Registration is currently open. Families are encouraged to complete registration as soon as possible to secure enrollment for next school year.
✔️ Intent Not to Return Form
We currently have hundreds of students on our waitlist for the 2026–2027 school year. Families who do not plan to return next school year are asked to complete the Intent Not to Return Form by April 20, 2026.
This helps us open seats for students waiting to join our Dealey community.
