Gold, balck, and white National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is September
zoom_out_map Show in original size

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time for the Boyertown Area School District
to come together in support of the young fighters and families within our community. This year,
our collective support feels especially meaningful as our Bear nation navigates the loss of Tanner Antalosky, a student who passed away just before the start of the school year. By wearing gold
this month, we honor the memory of the life we lost, support the families currently facing a
diagnosis, reflect on the incredible resilience of these young warriors, and reinforce the
strength of our community.

On Friday, September 25th, BASD will host a district-wide GOLD OUT. All students and staff are invited to wear GOLD and form "instant human GOLD ribbons" thereby raising Childhood Cancer Awareness among one another and throughout our community.

Our GOLD OUT will carryover to the evening's home football game hosted by BASH Student Council. Our families and community members are asked to wear their GOLDen best as we take on Spring-Ford High School. Members of the StuCo will be on hand to fundraise in support of childhood cancer research throughout the game.

We hope to see you there!

Red, white, and blue 9.11 Patriot Day: We will never forget.
zoom_out_map Show in original size

As we prepare to mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, we pause to honor the lives lost and the sacrifices made by ordinary heroes on that unforgettable day.

For many of us as parents and educators, 9.11 is a lived memory. For our children/students, it is a history lesson. As a learning community, it is a responsibility to carry forward the lessons of that moment: empathy, courage, resilience and the beauty that is inherent in coming together.

While we look back with profound respect and solemn remembrance, we can also look forward with hope. The world our children are inheriting has seen the unity and kindness that rose from the ashes of 9.11. Every day in our classrooms, we see that same spirit alive in our young people.

As they become our future, may they re-inform us of the most valuable lessons learned on the day we will never forget.

District-Wide Red, White, and Blue: 9/11/2026

In honor of Patriot Day 2026, we are asking all staff and students to wear red, white, and blue on Friday, September 11, 2026.
