FCMS Family,

Welcome to another exciting week at FCMS! As we move forward into the school year, I want to take a moment to express my genuine appreciation for the respect our students have shown towards both staff and their peers throughout the building. Their kindness, maturity, and positive attitude have not gone unnoticed, and it sets a strong tone for the year ahead. As we settle into our routines, we want to remind students of our classroom expectations: respectful behavior, active participation, and a commitment to learning. Our teachers are here to support every student’s success, and we expect each student to contribute positively to our school community.

• We wanted to take a moment to keep you in the loop regarding important expectations that were recently discussed during a grade-level meeting led by Mr. Liggett and Mrs. Reuss. These expectations are designed to support a successful and productive school year for all students. Student Handbook Review 25-26

• School Communication
  Please make sure you’re receiving all communication from the school by updating your contact information if necessary. Follow us on social media and check our website regularly for updates on events, schedules, and important announcements.

• We send out updated student grades each Friday through PowerSchool. Please make sure parents/guardians emails are up to date.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to our teachers, staff, and families for making this school year start on such a positive note. Your dedication and partnership are what makes FCMS such a wonderful place for our students to learn and grow. Let’s continue to work together to create the best possible environment for our kids. As always, my door is open to any concerns or questions you may have.

FCMS's FCA met this morning before school in the FCMS library. Twenty-one students and six adults attended the meeting and enjoyed a lesson prepared and taught by Mrs. Edwards. The students and staff at FCMS are so blessed to have Mrs. Tonia Edwards as part of our team!!! Within the lesson, Mrs. Edwards illustrated how when circumstance don't go our way, we can choose to respond with anger or hate if that's what we fill ourselves up with, or we could respond with kindness, patiences, and other Godly attributes if that's what we choose to fill ourselves up with. Either route is what will flow out of us when things don't go according to plan. It was a great lesson for the beginning of a school year!!! If any students would like participate in FCA, we meet every Friday in the library at 7:45. ALL kids and staff are welcome!!!
