The story of Spring ISD’s progress is reaching audiences across Houston — and Superintendent Dr. Kregg Cuellar is taking every opportunity to share the momentum behind our schools, our students and our people.

From districtwide accountability gains to the remarkable transformation happening at Dekaney High School, the progress is getting noticed:

📺 KPRC 2’s “Houston Life” with Good Reason Houston — Districtwide accountability results
📰 Houston Chronicle — Dekaney High School’s incredible growth
📺 FOX 26’s “The Isiah Factor” — Spring ISD’s districtwide accountability gains
📺 ABC13 Houston — Dekaney’s transformation and what comes next for Spring ISD

The story is bigger than the numbers. It’s about the students, educators and teams behind the progress — and we’re proud to share it.

The New Spring ISD is making progress. And Houston is taking notice. 📈

We kicked off our first Parent Advisory Council (PAC) meeting of the 2026–27 school year, bringing together families and district leaders around a shared commitment to student success.

Superintendent Dr. Kregg Cuellar shared an update on The New Spring ISD, our progress and the work ahead — while reinforcing something we know to be true: we can’t do this work without our parents.

We are grateful for every parent who shows up, shares their voice and partners with us to make Spring ISD stronger for every student.

Strong schools start with strong partnerships. Together, we are Spring!

What better way to kick off football season than by putting the spotlight where it belongs — on our students! 📸🏈

These amazing photos capture more than student-athletes ready to take the field. They showcase the talent, determination, confidence and Spring ISD pride our students bring every time they represent their schools.

The lights are on, the energy is building and our students are ready to compete, make an impact and create moments that bring our schools and community together.

Here’s to a season of big plays, unforgettable memories and plenty of Spring ISD pride!

💜 Help us support a member of our Spring ISD family!

One of our very own, Spring ISD's Civic Engagement Coordinator Dajauneke "Daja" Minor, has submitted a panel proposal, “Beyond the Classroom: Building a Culture of Civic Engagement,” for SXSW EDU 2027 in Austin! 🎓✨

The proposal is now open for community voting, and we’d love to help get her to the SXSW EDU stage! 🙌🏽

🗳️ Voting takes about 5 minutes and requires creating a quick account. Every vote counts!

Vote by TODAY, August 23, and show some love for our Spring ISD family!
