Mustang Memo

Hope your summer has been nothing short of amazing! How did it go by so fast? I took an early trip to the beach with my family in June, then filled my summer with weekend classes at BYU, which was really fun. I love learning, especially about education and how to make our schools better.

A highlight this summer was attending the Spanish Fork Fiesta Days Rodeo to help out with the Rodeo Reading Challenge Winners who were spotlighted in the arena on July 22nd. Our school winners each received a free pair of Justin Boots, Wrangler Jeans and a Resistol Hat donated by Reams Boots and Jeans. My whole family was able to attend, even my 10 month-old granddaughter, Scottie, who got her first pair of cowboy boots!

To anyone new to our school community, WELCOME! East Meadows is an awesome place to be! We invite you to join PTA, get involved and look forward to meeting you. The first day of school is August 13th and we love to kick off the day with a red carpet event that begins at 8:15 AM. School starts at 8:45 AM and dismisses at 3:00 PM that day.

Many thanks to the PTA and all the parents who donated snacks and drinks for the teachers to keep them fueled during the coming week as they work in their classrooms. We have the BEST school community and are so grateful for the amazing parent support!

Come walk the red carpet and celebrate the beginning of a new year starting at 8:15 AM on Wednesday, August 13th. Our theme this year is "CHASING EXCELLENCE - GIDDY UP!" We are ready to "Saddle Up" for learning and "Ready to Ride" into the 2026 school year.

This year we will also be focusing on ATTENDANCE at school. Students who have good attendance will have the opportunity to earn tickets to lunchtime events and fun activities. Watch for more information about our new attendance rewards program!

We are excited to announce that we have joined forces with Bell Photography this year as our provider for school pictures. They have been working with us this summer on other print and graphic projects including the calendar magnets you will receive at open house. Bell Photography has been in business in Utah for over 70 years. Bronson Bell and his family live here in Spanish Fork and they just opened a new office in Salem. Be sure to grab a calendar magnet at open house and mark your calendar for picture day on September 8th!

September 1st - Labor Day - No School

September 8th - Picture Day!
