Happy Thursday, SCA Families!

This week has been truly overwhelming in the best possible way because of the incredible outpouring of generosity through our Boosterthon fundraiser! I wish I could fully express in words the gratitude we feel here at school for your donations and support.

St. Catherine’s is such a special place, and I see it every day in so many ways. It is reflected not only in the monetary generosity that continues to pour in, but also in the smiling faces of our families, the time you dedicate to our special events, and the love and energy you pour into raising the children who walk through our doors each day. Your children are the future of this community, and someday, many of them will return to SCA to raise their own children. What a beautiful legacy we are building together!

Thank you for all the time, effort, and love you share with one another and with St. Catherine’s. As I spent some time outdoors enjoying the beautiful weather, I found myself reflecting on God’s grace and presence in here at SCA. I feel it when I walk through our school doors, and I see it when our students come skipping, hopping, and bouncing into school each morning. Their joy is a beautiful reminder of God’s light shining through our children.

I hope that as you read this, you take a moment to pause and thank God for the many gifts, blessings, and expressions of love He gives us each day. Even during difficult times, God is present. We may not always understand why we face certain challenges or have the answers we are looking for, but we can find comfort in knowing that we do not face those challenges alone.

I see and hear about the ways our SCA families step up for one another, offer support, and surround each other with love and compassion. That is God working through all of you. What a blessing it is to be part of a community rooted in faith and united by a shared love for our children!

Thank you for being such an important part of our SCA family. My heart is full of gratitude for all that you do and for the many ways you help make St. Catherine’s such a special place.

The arrival time for school is 7:50 - 8:00. The school doors close at 8:05. I cannot express enough the importance of arriving to school on time. When students arrive after 8:05 the kids feel anxious and unprepared for the day. They often rush to get their things ready for class. Not only is it difficult for the students, it is difficult for our office staff, Mary and Mary, as well as for our classroom teachers as the morning routine has already begun. Thank you for your cooperation with this!

It’s time to rally together for our Chargers Walk fundraiser! Our goal is to raise $35,000 for science curriculum and mac minis, which will enhance our school’s resources and provide our students with an even better educational experience.

There is more exciting news to share! The flooring is complete!

Teachers will begin to move items in and set the classrooms up. We are waiting on the classroom doors and a few other items to complete the classrooms. We will be so excited to share more details next week!

It will be exciting to celebrate the completion of the Kane Hall project along with the updates to our church! Once both projects are finished, we will be hosting a special SCA community event to celebrate all of the wonderful improvements to our campus. More details will be coming soon!

We offer you lunch options from different restaurants each week on Wednesdays. Please make sure you log in to https://www.myhotlunchbox.com/ and update your child(ren)'s profile. This is especially important for some grade levels to ensure that their lunch is there when they are! If you're a new family, please go to the website and create a new profile for your child(ren). Each child needs to have a separate profile. Ordering closes at 12pm on Monday each week, but you can order weeks in advance if that's convenient for you. We are so blessed to have Mrs. LaRocco on staff here at SCA! She provides support to teachers, students, and works in partnership with parents. She has been working hard on creating an environment where students feel supported and continuing to promote kindness and positivity both inside and outside of school.

Open Houses

Sunday, November 22 from 1-3 p.m.

Families will join a student-led campus tour, meet our faculty, staff, and coaches, and learn more about academics, athletics, activities, scholarships and discounts, and life at Marian.

8th Grade Super Shadow Day

Monday, October 12 from 8:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m.

Students will be paired with a current Marian student and spend the day getting a real feel for life as a Spartan. They’ll attend classes, have lunch together, participate in games and activities, and connect with other prospective 8th grade students throughout the day.

We’d really appreciate your help sharing these opportunities with your 8th grade students and families who may be interested in Marian. Whether that’s through a newsletter, parent communication, counselor outreach, or simply passing the information along, any help spreading the word means a lot to us.
