News From the Ranch
May 24, 2026, Vol. 1, Issue 39
Dear TRE Family,
Thank you to the families who joined our final PTA event, Movie Night! The kids seemed to have a blast playing games with their friends and siblings, eating Kona Ice, getting their faces painted, and enjoying the movie G.O.A.T. as a family. Thank you to our PTA volunteers who helped make the evening possible!
As we head into the final week of the 2025-2026 school year, I want to thank all of you for your partnership, your hours of volunteering, your support at home, and your communication with our staff. It takes a village, and we sure are lucky to have a wonderful TRE Ohana! We are incredibly proud of all the cool coyotes have accomplished. They have been hard at work and play for 176 school days. These final 4 days will be filled with learning, celebrations, field days, new memories, and opportunities to capture their growth this school year. We look forward to seeing families on campus throughout the week, volunteering in the classrooms and on our playgrounds, at our PTA Yearbook Signing Party on Wednesday afternoon, at Senior Clap Out on Thursday, and at 5th-grade Promotion on Friday!
For specific grade level and class event dates and times, please refer to your classroom teacher communications. It's going to be one awesome week at TRE! Reminder, NO SCHOOL on Monday (5/25) in observance of Memorial Day.

5TH GRADE END OF YEAR UPDATES
5TH GRADE PROMOTION
5th Grade Promotion will begin at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 29th. Students can bring up to 5 guests. Students will pull a row/seat number at random on their way into the promotion seating area. Guests will join their student and sit in the same row with them. No need to get to campus early to reserve seating. All families will sign in and line up outside the front gates and be let in just before the ceremony begins. As a reminder, balloons and signs are not allowed in the promotion area and must be left in your vehicle.
If you have an available seat (only 5 per student) and you would like a TRE sibling to attend, you will need to come early to sign them out at the front office. If you plan to have them come back to class after, you will need to sign them back in at the front office. We discourage this as many classes have other fun celebrations going on that your child will not want to miss. If you do plan to pull your younger child, please messgae the teacher ahead of time so they can plan ahead. All 5th graders will get to see their TRE siblings as they do the Clap Out prior to Promotion. We look forward to celebrating our 5th grade Cool Coyotes at Promotion!
PROMOTION ATTIRE FOR 5TH GRADERS
This year, our 5th grade committee is working hard to create a new beautiful promotion stage and backdrop design with school colors. They have purchased items for us to use for years to come. Promotion will not be a Hawaiian theme as it has in the past. If you have already purchased something Hawaiian themed, no problem, wear it.
Students are encouraged to dress nice for promotion. As a reminder, promotion attire must meet dress code guidelines.
Ideas for promotion attire...
- dress
- khakis
- dress pants
- nice golf shorts
- collared shirt
- polo shirt
- dress shoes
- heels (they should be very short due to walking up the stairs)
- nice looking sneakers
UPCOMING 5TH GRADE EVENTS
May 27: 5th Grade Promotion Rehearsal (10:40 AM), Yearbook Signing & Pizza Party (11:30 AM)
May 29: 5th Grade Promotion (11:00 AM, Clap Out starting at 10:40 AM)

YEARBOOKS ARRIVED
Yearbooks have arrived at TRE! They look amazing!
Thank you to our wonderful Yearbook Committee for all of their hard work on creating a memorable yearbook. If you purchased a yearbook by the deadline, your student(s) already received their yearbook from their classroom teacher. For those who ordered after the deadline, the yearbooks are on their way. The company has not provided the school with estimated delivery dates for those who ordered after the deadline. If you forgot to order a yearbook, it's not too late, and they arrive quickly. See the info below to order. Yearbooks purchased late will be mailed directly to your home after school gets out.
No yearbook yet? You’ve still got time — $30 softcover / $36 hardcover! + tax & shipping
