Deerfield Updates Deerfield Updates

Dear Deerfield Families,

We’re off to a fantastic start at Deerfield. It has been wonderful welcoming our students back, seeing their excitement, and watching them settle into a new year of learning and growing together.

Thank you for your continued support with our arrival and dismissal routines. Carline plays an important role in keeping students safe and ensuring a smooth flow for everyone. We’ve already seen great improvement over the first few days, and your patience and cooperation truly make a difference.

Thank you for sharing your children with us. We’re looking forward to a great year ahead at Deerfield.

Warmly,

Dr. F.

Medication At School

A reminder that all student medications must be administered through the school office. For the safety of all students, medications should not be sent with children to keep in their backpacks or classrooms. If your child needs medication during the school day, please contact our health aide, Ms. Leslie, who will be happy to assist you with the process.

Picture Day is Coming!

Mark your calendars—Wednesday, September 16 is Picture Day at Deerfield! This is a great opportunity to capture your child’s school memories for the year. Order forms will be sent home with students ahead of time, and families also have the option to order online for convenience.

On Picture Day, please help your child come to school dressed and ready with their best smile. Every student will have their picture taken, even if you do not purchase a package, so that we can include all students in our school yearbook.

Thank you for helping make Picture Day a success—we can’t wait to see all of our students shine!

Family Fun Night!

Join us for Family Fun Night as we celebrate our community, schools, and students!

The evening begins at 5:00 PM with doors opening. At approximately 5:28 PM, the full BHS Choir will perform the National Anthem in the main gym, followed by a volleyball scrimmage at 5:30 PM.

Activities continue at Krantz Field with the BHS Marching Band performing the National Anthem at 6:55 PM and the football scrimmage kicking off at 7:00 PM. Around 7:45 PM, enjoy a “halftime” performance by the Blair Sparx Dance Team along with the Golden Paw award presentation.

At 8:30 PM, the cross country team will host their “Under the Lights” All-Out Mile on the track. Once the run is complete, families are welcome to come down onto the track (please note: no food allowed on the field).

We look forward to a great night together—see you there!
