Mrs. Viña's Message
Dear Glenwood Families,
It is hard to believe that this is the last week of October. Time is flying. Remind your students to finish October strong, especially if they have not been doing all their work.
From time to time, individuals or groups in the community will distribute information and advertisements to parents/guardians on the public sidewalks during school arrival or dismissal. This information is not affiliated or endorsed by Glenwood Elementary and CVUSD.
Any approved communications (i.e. announcements, fliers) from Glenwood Elementary and CVUSD will be provided directly from the school to you via email or given to your students to take home.
If you ever are unsure whether or not materials are from ### school and CVUSD, please do not hesitate to contact the front office at 805.495.2118.
The Glenwood Gators did their first school wide art project Friday. They made coffee filter bats in the MPR as a group. A fun time was had by all. We will be posting some samples on the Glenwood Instagram during the week. Check them out on Instagram. It can be an easy, creative, and inexpensive way to have some fun as a family.
A big shout out to our 3rd graders who went on their field trip last week. The received numerous compliments from the location staff
about how polite they were. They really kept their eyes on excellence.
Parents are invited to attend the costume parade at 8:40, the morning of October 30. The gates will open for parents to join on the
lower blacktop as soon as the students are set up in the area. All parents, please note that photography will be allowed. If for any
Reason you do not want your child to possibly be in a photo, please notify the office by Tuesday so we can let the teacher know that
your student will wait in the office.
Respectfully
Mrs. Vina

Enrollment for the 2027-2028 School Year Opens November 2nd!
In the Conejo Valley Unified School District we are proud to offer a right fit for every student in our award-winning TK-12 schools. For the 2027-2028 school year: Neighborhood School Enrollment for *new* CVUSD students will open on Monday, November 2, 2026 - the same date that the School Choice Application and Interdistrict Transfer Application opens. Please see below for an overview of CVUSD enrollment information:
Getting Started: Enroll Your New CVUSD Student at Your Assigned Neighborhood School
If you are enrolling your student for the first time in a CVUSD school for the 2027-2028 school year, you will need to first complete the online Pre-Enrollment form to enroll your child at their assigned neighborhood school. Even if you are planning to complete a School Choice Application - all new CVUSD students must first enroll at their assigned neighborhood school.
- Click Here to Access the Online Pre-Enrollment Form for the 2027-2028 School Year (available on or after November 2nd)
- Not sure of your assigned neighborhood school? Use the District’s “Street Index” and “School Locator” map.

Welcome TK Families: What You Need to Know
All students who will be four years old by or on September 1, 2027 are eligible to enroll in Transitional Kindergarten (TK) in the CVUSD for the 2027-2028 school year. TK is the first year of a two-year Kindergarten program, where students will build connections with peers, experience hands-on, play-based learning opportunities and be exposed to academic skills that they will master in Kindergarten.
TK enrollment for the 2027-2028 school year opens on Monday, November 2, 2026. All TK students are required to enroll at their assigned neighborhood school. Even if families are planning to complete a School Choice Application - all new CVUSD students must first enroll at their assigned neighborhood school.
- Ready to learn more? Attend the CVUSD TK Enrollment Information Webinar on Tuesday, October 27th at 6pm - click here to register for this free event led by members of CVUSD’s Instructional Services team.
- Click here to learn more about TK in the CVUSD.
Submitting a School Choice Application
The majority of CVUSD’s students attend their assigned neighborhood school via the Neighborhood School Enrollment process. For families who would like to apply to enroll their student in a CVUSD school other than their assigned neighborhood school, this may be completed via the School Choice Application process.
For the 2027-2028 school year, School Choice Applications that are submitted between Monday, November 2, 2026 and Monday, February 1, 2027 will be considered “on-time” and included in the priority lottery process. Important: All *new* CVUSD students must first enroll at their assigned neighborhood school via the Online Pre-Enrollment Form before submitting a School Choice Application (available on or after November 2nd).
- The School Choice Application for the 2027-2028 School Year will be available to complete online here (available on or after November 2nd)
- Click here to learn more about School Choice in the CVUSD.
Submitting an Interdistrict Transfer Form
If a family resides outside of CVUSD’s boundaries, but would like to attend a CVUSD school, an Interdistrict Transfer Form must be completed. Families must complete an Interdistrict Transfer Form and submit it to their assigned, “home” school district. Interdistrict Transfer Forms should be submitted to CVUSD during the priority period (Monday, November 2, 2026 - Monday, February 1, 2027). Enrollment is contingent on release from your district of residence. Additional information about the Interdistrict Transfer process is available online here.
