8th Grade Trip Information Meeting
Information Meeting - Monday, October 5 at 5:00pm
The 8th-grade trip to Washington, D.C. and New York City is more than just a class trip; it's a dynamic, hands-on extension of the classroom. This five-day excursion, scheduled for Friday, May 21 to Tuesday, May 25, 2027, offers students a unique opportunity to see history and civics come alive. By visiting key national landmarks and cultural institutions, students can connect what they're learning this year to the real world.
To help families understand the full scope of this valuable trip, CCA is hosting an information meeting on Monday, October 5 at 5:00 p.m. This meeting will cover details like the price, itinerary, logistics, and how the trip aligns with the 8th-grade curriculum. The meeting will be held in person in the CCA Library and can also be attended virtually via Google Meet.
We encourage all 8th grade families to attend!
Parent Teacher Organization (PTO)
PTO 5th Annual CCA Silent Auction
GET READY TO BID TO SUPPORT OUR KIDS!
Last year YOU helped raise $27,000 – let’s do it again!
Bidding opens Monday, September 28 at 7:00 AM • Closes Thursday, October 1 at 9:00 PM
Why This One Matters And What We Need from You
This is the PTO’s BIGGEST fundraiser of the year! Every dollar raised covers field trip transportation for our kiddos — every student, in every grade, all year long.
We’ve got some amazing items up for grabs – now we just need YOU to BID, BID, BID starting Monday September the 28th.
👀 Go Window Shopping This Week
The site is open — you can’t bid yet, but you can look, and you should because many of our goodies are loaded and ready!
Browse it with your kids. They will find things you never would. New items are still landing between now and the 28th, so check back.
And while you’re in there, do these three things. Five minutes, total.
- Sign in and create your account. Don’t do it Monday while someone else is bidding on your item.
- Save your favorites. Tap the heart on anything you like. Your list is waiting for you the moment bidding opens, so you can go straight to it instead of scrolling.
- Let your kids pick one. Nothing moves a family like a kid who has already decided what they want.
🎁 A Taste of What’s In There
Go Big
- Union Orthodontics — one full phase of treatment. Free braces. A $6,000 value.
- Nuggets vs. Raptors — suite seats plus VIP parking.
- Southwest Airlines — two roundtrip tickets, anywhere they fly.
- Breckenridge Peak 8 — two nights in a ski-in condo.
- Cherry Hills Country Club — golf for two.
- A private pontoon on Chatfield — fish, or just float.
Go Small
Bidding starts as low as $10 on plenty of items, so everyone can play:
- The Sand Place — two-session play pass
- Lava Island — four all-day passes
- SweetPlay — admission for two kids and two adults
- Woodhouse Spa — $50 gift card
- Denver Zoo — four daytime admission tickets
Go Eagle — Only at CCA, and Your Kids Will Beg You for These
- Pie Mr. Hargreaves in the face (elementary) or shave Mr. Hargreaves’ beard (middle school)
- Top Golf with Mr. Mahan
- "For a Day” experiences — step into the role of Principal, Librarian, Nurse, Gym Teacher or Maintenance Director for a whole school day
- Dozens of lunches, parties and activities with the teachers your kids already love
- Tickets to a middle-school-only water balloon fight
