The West Linn-Wilsonville School Board approved a calendar adjustment during the Sept. 13 School Board Meeting in observance of Juneteenth.

President Biden signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act into law and declared June 19 as a federal holiday earlier this year. With June 19 falling on a Sunday this year, the school district will observe June 20 as a non contract day for staff this school year. There will be no school on June 20, making June 21 the last day of school.

El Consejo Escolar de West Linn-Wilsonville aprobó un ajuste en el calendario durante la Reunión del Consejo Ejecutivo Escolar el 13 de septiembre, con motivo del Juneteenth.

El Presidente Biden firmó el Acta del Día Nacional de Independencia de Juneteenth como ley y el 19 de junio como una festividad federal a principios de este año. About once or twice a month, students are released from school two hours early for the District's Professional Growth Wednesdays. Those two hours are used as time for teacher learning, giving staff an opportunity to collaborate and engage in professional development.

That work leads to better teachers and, in turn, better education for students. Mark your calendars for the following Professional Growth Wednesdays this school year. Please note that some Professional Growth Wednesdays affect primary schools only, so if you have students in middle or high school, they may experience a regular school day. Those instances are marked as PRIMARY LEVEL ONLY Professional Growth Wednesdays.

Several Capital Construction Projects are underway across the district, more construction work planned this summer as part of the 2019 Capital Bond. Learn about major bond projects, construction time lines, quarterly reports, and more by visiting the bond website.

Construction will take place at several school sites during the summer.
