The Dawg Dispatch

The Dawg Dispatch is your weekly behind-the-scenes look at the Aberdeen School District. From student achievements and classroom highlights to upcoming events and important announcements, we're keeping our families, staff, and community connected as we celebrate another blockbuster year. It's our time to shine!

Who says learning can't be fun?

Ms. Berghuis's 2nd grade Bullpups wrapped up Module 3: Solving Disagreements by showing off their superhero moves while dancing to a fun superhero song!

Throughout this module, students learned the importance of handling disagreements respectfully, listening to others, and making positive choices.

What better way to celebrate their learning than with a little music and movement?

At Aberdeen Elementary, we're teaching our Bullpups that you don't need a cape to be a superhero—sometimes all it takes is kindness, respect, and knowing how to solve a problem peacefully!

Aberdeen Elementary School is proud to recognize Ms. Hale as our September Teacher of the Month and Mrs. Boyd as our September Staff of the Month!

These two wonderful ladies are being recognized for their hard work, dedication, and the positive impact they make at AES each day. We are grateful for all they do to help our Bullpups shine!

Please join us in congratulating Ms. Hale and Mrs. Boyd on this well-deserved recognition!

Every Pup. Every Day. On the Path to an A!

Aberdeen Elementary School is proud to be a Military Star School! As part of our commitment to honoring those who have served, we are asking our AES families and community to help us show appreciation to 6 local veterans currently residing in a nursing home.

We will be collecting small items to create special appreciation packages for 4 Army veterans, 1 Marine veteran, and 1 Air Force veteran.

Items Needed:

Individual pudding cups

Packaged snack cakes

Individually wrapped peppermints

Travel-size Vaseline

Individual snack-size candy bars

Donation Deadline: Wednesday, November 4

Delivery Date: Monday, November 9

No donation is too small! Every contribution is an opportunity to remind these veterans that their service and sacrifices have not been forgotten.

Let's come together as one Bulldog family to show our love, gratitude, and appreciation for our heroes!

Their Service. Our Gratitude. Always.

BSMS 8th graders explored future possibilities at the EMCC Career Expo! Students learned about career pathways and opportunities as they begin thinking about life beyond middle school. The future is bright for our Bulldogs! Compliments were given for how engaged and well behaved our students were! That’s how you show Bulldog Pride!!!

Bulldawg families, keep safety in mind as you enjoy Halloween! Travel in groups, carry a flashlight, use sidewalks and crosswalks, and have an adult check treats before eating. Drivers, slow down and watch for trick-or-treaters.

Have a fun, safe, and spooktacular Halloween!

Congratulations to Mr. Dobbins and Ms. Blanchard on being crowned Aberdeen High School’s 2026–2027 Homecoming King and Queen! Wear your crowns with pride as you represent our Bulldawg family! 💙🐾
