A Note from the Office

Dear Parents and Caregivers,

We made it to Fun Run Week! We are so excited to bring our school community together this Thursday for one of our favorite events of the year!

First, a huge CONGRATULATIONS to our entire NPES community for surpassing our $40,000 fundraising goal! This is an incredible accomplishment, and we are so grateful to our students, families, staff, and everyone who contributed to making this possible. Your generosity and enthusiasm continue to make a tremendous difference for our students.

The money raised through our Fun Run directly supports meaningful learning experiences for our children. These funds help provide enrichment opportunities, cover field trip admission costs, and pay for transportation to and from the wonderful educational locations our students visit throughout the year. These experiences extend learning beyond the classroom and create lasting memories for our students.

Fun Run Day is this Thursday, October 15! A copy of the schedule is included below so you can plan accordingly. Spectators are welcome and encouraged to come cheer on our students and help make the day extra special!

Please note that our preschool students will hold their Fun Run event in the gym. All other grade-level events will follow the schedule provided below.

Thank you again for your continued partnership, generosity, and support of North Pembroke Elementary School. We are incredibly proud of what our community has accomplished together and look forward to celebrating with everyone on Thursday. Let's make it a fantastic day filled with school spirit, smiles, and plenty of running!

*Please remind your student to bring their water bottle, as they will need to hydrate before and after the run!

Mr. Murphy and Mrs. Charpentier

Plymouth County Comfort Dogs Program

Officer Marybeth Simmons and her comfort dog, Sasha, have provided supportive services to students at our school since 2023 and are members of the Plymouth County Comfort Dog Program. To better understand the effectiveness of their services, we've partnered with the Plymouth County Comfort Dogs Program and Bridgewater State University to help them gather feedback from parents, teachers, and students.

We invite you and your child to participate in this evaluation of the program during the 2026-2027 school year. By participating in this process, you and your child will help us understand how Officer Simmons and Sasha support our students' success. Please see the attached document for more information about the evaluation and how you can opt out of the study.

If you do not want your child to participate, please complete this form by October 1st. If you agree to your child’s participation in this study, nothing else is required of you at this time.

If you have questions about this project, please feel free to contact me at marybeth.brust@pembrokek12.org.

Thank you,

Marybeth Brust

Strategic Plan

We’re proud to introduce the Pembroke Public Schools Strategic Plan, a roadmap that will guide our priorities and work in the years ahead.

Created with input from our students, families, educators, staff, community partners, and School Committee, the plan reflects what matters most to our community—and where we see opportunities to grow.

Our focus is simple: helping every student thrive. We’ll continue working to strengthen academic outcomes while fostering curiosity, creativity, resilience, belonging, and meaningful support for every learner.

This plan is a living framework that will grow and evolve with our schools and community.

We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful to everyone who helped shape this vision for the future of Pembroke Public Schools.
