Google has rolled out a few updates to Meet. When you open a new Meet Room (that you control - you created the calendar event or Room) you may have noticed a blue shield in the bottom left corner. Clicking on the shield opens the Meet Host Controls for Meeting Safety.

Turning on or off the three sliders will help you maintain a tighter control on your Meet safety.

• Quick Access allows you to control who can join your session.

• Share their screen allows you to shut off the sharing controls for your participants.

• Send Chat Messages allows you to turn on or off your chat room in the Meet.

If you are the holder of a coveted district license in Nearpod, please remember that there is a limited number of licenses available, and users that are not utilizing it get downgraded to the silver account. The good news is Nearpod has ramped up their sliver account so you can still do a lot if you don't have a district license!

Look for your campus DLS's Office Hours on your Google Calendar. Pop in if you have any questions or issues, or just to say hi! If the office hours don't work with your schedule, email your DLS and set up a one-on-one. These hours will not be set for a specific day or time. Each DLS will add office hours to their Google calendar and invite their perspective campus.
