Beacon was incorporated as a city on May 15th, 1913, which means that our city just celebrated its 110th birthday last week! Very cool!

One month from today is the last day of school for students for the 2022-2023 school year. As the school year winds down and final exams approach, be sure to utilize our Faculty/Staff Extra Help Times which can be accessed from the link below. This is a great resource to get more support in classes you may need and/or get ready for finals!

A big shout out to all of the students who performed at the RMS Spring Concert! You all did such an amazing job and its clear that your hard work this year has paid off. We are proud of you! See pictures below!

The BCSD Student Film Fest was a big success. It was great to see so much time and effort put into making those films, all which showed what a creative student body we have not only at RMS, but within our district. Congratulations to you all on a successful day! Looking forward to next year.

1. Morning Intramurals continues with Ms. Tobin on Tuesday and Thursday Mornings before school. Questions? See Ms. Tobin.

On Friday, May 12th, the 7th and 8th grade band students boarded a bus at 5:45am and drove up to East Longmeadow High School in Massachusetts where they were able to perform in front of other schools and two adjudicators who scored our performance.

Our RMS Students received a score of an 88, which is categorized as "Excellent" and is the second highest score that can be earned! An amazing job!

After the performance, we were able to spend the rest of our day at Six Flags New England. It was a great day. Congratulations to Mr. Hogan and the 7th/8th grade band students!

Attention 8th grade families! The PTO is looking for donations and volunteers for the 8th Grade Picnic on Wednesday, 6/21. We will be putting on a barbecue lunch for all of the 8th graders after the moving up rehearsal. Volunteers to help set up the picnic, as well as donations, are needed. Please contact romboutpto@gmail.com if you are interested in helping out!

Has your child been on any of the Honor Rolls for all 3 quarters of the year? If so you are invited to the Honors Tea. The RMS PTO will be hosting this annual recognition of students with a brief assembly and reception at BHS on June 5th at 6:30 pm at Beacon High School. We are holding our first ever RMS Flea Market and Craft Fair on Saturday 6/10/23 from 9-3 on the basketball courts. Rent a 10'x10' space from us for $20 and sell your used treasures or your new crafts and goods. You keep your profit! Join us on June 7th for the last PTO meeting of the year at 7pm in the library. We are in need of board members for next year. We need help to carry on the great things we do for RMS.
