New Late Start Procedures

We will be implementing a new procedure for inclement weather when roads will be safer to travel mid-morning. The following are the new procedures:

Two-Hour Late Start Procedures

There may be times when we announce a two-hour late start to allow for safer travel. When this occurs:

  • Announcements will be made by 9:00 p.m. the night before.

  • Buses will run two hours later than their normal pickup times.

  • School buildings and classes will begin two hours later than usual; however, the end of the school day will remain the same.

  • Breakfast will not be served.

  • The ECC bus will not run.

If it is determined the following morning that road conditions will not be safe with a late start, school may still be cancelled for the day.

Even when school is in session, some bus routes may be affected. Drivers will determine if all parts of their route are safe to travel and will notify families of any temporary changes when possible.

Thank you for helping us keep students safe during winter weather.

Changes in Household Incomes

If your family has a change in financial circumstances at any time during the school year that might impact your ability to qualify for free or reduced meals for your student, please contact the office for an application to apply. Even if you already completed an application this year and did not qualify, a change in employment status may mean that you would. Applications can be completed at any point during the school year, so please do not hesitate to request one if your household has a change that impacts your income. We want all of our students to have access to hot, nutritious meals throughout the year.

Fan for Sale!

We have a LARGE (5'6" tall) fan for sale. It works, but it may need minor repairs. It has a feature where you can add ice to cool the air as it circulates. We will take sealed bids on it from now until 3:00 p.m. on December 17th. You can bring the amount you will pay for it in a sealed envelope to Central Office during school hours. The buyer must pick it up at school. We will notify the winning bidder on December 18th.
