Greetings Buffalo Community!

Happy Week 5 Buffaloes! It's hard to believe we have been in school for a month now! Please read below for more updates.

Science Fair Parent Night

We will be holding our Annual Science Fair Informational Night for our Buffalo families. Please join us on Tuesday, August 25, from 4:00pm-5:00pm in the school's gym. Students in attendance will get a free dress pass.

Fall Pictures

Hot Shots will be by on Thursday, August 27, to take our first pictures of the school year. Students will be required to wear their uniform. Pictures taken on Thursday will be for our school yearbook.

#TeamSISD All Awards Ceremony

Our first #TeamSISD All Star Awards Ceremony will be held this Friday, August 28, at 8:30am. Students receiving the recognition will be allowed to wear free dress for the day. Parents and family members are welcome to join us for the ceremony.

Free Supper Program

I am excited to announce that Sgt. Jose F. Carrasco Elementary School will be participating in an after school Supper Program this school year. The program will provide a FREE hot meal to all students, aged 0-18 years. The program is set to begin next Monday, August 31, 2026. Supper will be served daily, Mondays through Thursdays, from 3:16pm-3:46pm.

Tutoring

Our After School Tutoring sessions will begin next Tuesday, September 1. Student invites will go out this week. Our content focus for the school year is in the area of math; however, we will also be support in reading. We thank you for your trust and commitment as we chase our A Rating!

Popcorn Fundraiser

Our Annual Popcorn Fundraiser will kickoff this Friday! Students are encouraged to sell 10 bags of popcorn each. All monies raised from the fundraiser will go to support our teacher and student accounts. The fundraiser will be active for the entire month of September. Orders will be processed during the October Intersession Break, and items will be delivered upon our return.
