Berwyn Fire Department/ Smokehouse Trailer
The Berwyn Fire Department visited our 1st–3rd grade students on Monday! Students toured the smokehouse and learned important fire safety tips, including staying away from hot stoves, never hiding during a fire, and how to Stop, Drop, and Roll.
For the finale, the trailer filled with smoke and students practiced crawling safely out of a fire.
Please make sure your child knows where to meet your family in case of a fire and knows their home address and a parent/guardian’s phone number. Ask them what they learned! We even made up a fun song/rhyme!
